Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 553
2. What's a favorite item you've bought this year? Hahaha... my silly shower curtain, perhaps!!
3. May 28th is National Hamburger Day...are you a fan? Yes, I like hamburgers. If so, how do you like yours? Medium (pink, not bloody), lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and mayo. Pickles too. When was the last time you had a hamburger? Last week. Homemade. Besides the backyard grill, what's your favorite place to go for a burger? We have a Burger 21 down the street and their burgers are very good. Fast food... Wendy's.
4. How have your priorities changed over time? Things don't matter. People matter.
5. What's one thing on your June calendar you're really looking forward to? June is a big birthday month. My sister Patti, June 1; my sister Tammy, June 5; My son Jeff, June 10; plus four of my friends. No parties planned but I look forward to phone calls and sending gifts!! I hope to get down to Punta Gorda for lunch with the grands and Joe and Darlene are planning to come for a couple of days before Joe goes back overseas the first week of July.
6. Insert your own random thought here. Thanks to the prayer warriors who have been keeping Danon and Cindy in your prayers, Cindy is doing okay. I can't go into specifics but she is feeling good and her results so far are benign. Danon is home, starting PT next week, and is bored. I spent 30 minutes or so at their house after work and he was in relatively good spirits, wanted to know about what was happening at work, and said a couple of times how bored he is sitting in the house. He is usually active and involved and Tenoroc is his baby. Please keep praying!!

We had hamburgers on Monday. I like mine just like you do, except no pickles.
ReplyDeleteBob has a birthday in June and so does a friend of mine.
Glad to hear Cindy had good results. It's also good Danan has reached the point of being bored. That's usually a good sign!
Venison burgers are the best! We're still eating on those from last season. It's like manna from heaven: never runs out.
ReplyDeletePrayers for your friends. Being sick or injured is so boring. Like Mari said, that is a good sign.
Hope your day is wonderful. 💙
Thank you for updates on Cindy and Danon! I think a burger is one of God's greatest gifts (lol) ... definitely in my top 3 favorite dishes. #4's so very true; I wish everyone believed that way. I'm still trying to think of my answer to #1; maybe tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLove that shower curtain!
ReplyDeleteYour answer about when you actually became an adult is interesting.
I just had a hamburger for lunch - leftover from our little Memorial Day cookout.
I didn't have children. That experience would have changed my answer, I'm sure. My boys were 16 and 20. Big difference.
DeleteI love hamburgers, too, and your whimsical shower curtain made me smile. So happy to hear that Danon is improving - one sure sign of that is that he is getting bored - lol! I'll continue to pray for Cindy and him.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri!
So good to stop by as I have been a slacker lately. Life sometimes gets in the way. :o)) Cute shower curtain and I bet makes you smile. Looks like some fun things coming up in June. Happy everything!
ReplyDeleteYou're a good friend Terri and the people in your life are lucky to have you. Hope you have a nice rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteWow that was deep - you became an adult when Joe died - I bet that is the truth.
ReplyDeleteWe are having hamburgers tonight. Smash burgers.
You sure do have a big month of celebrations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
