Casper's position says it all.
I took this picture at the office on Friday. A very strange looking rain cloud that did, indeed, drop rain on us. I barely got into my car to head home when the sky opened up. Much needed rain, though, so no complaints.
Friday afternoon, I started watching a series my sister told me about called 'The Way Home'. It's a Hallmark series with two seasons streaming on Peacock. I'm not a fan of Hallmark movies, but she said this one is very good and she and her hubby both liked it. It has time travel and love stories and family history... I almost finished the first season before I went to bed.
On Saturday, I did get up and got some work done before going back to the TV. I think I was on episode 3 of the 2nd season when I just got fed up with some stupidity going on... the same reason I don't watch Hallmark movies anymore. Same outline, same dumb mistakes, same emotions. Anyway, I skipped ahead to the last two episodes of season two so I could see the outcome that I was expecting. Yes. It was entertaining for a lazy afternoon. I just lose my patience when I figure out the ending way before the ending. I do love Andie MacDowell. If there is a season 3, I will probably check in. I am probably the only person around who doesn't like Hallmark movies. My bad, my problem.
Sunday was my day to be a Greeter at church, which I always enjoy. It was also our last Sunday School for the summer. We won't get back to Exodus until the first Sunday in August. When I got home, I did my laundry and some spot cleaning. I had a text from Mali that they were doing okay at the hospital. She didn't elaborate. I will try to talk with her today.
My neighbor, Susan, brought me six fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. It was nice chatting with her for a few minutes and the cookies were delicious! Dee brought Princess over when I got home from church and we had a nice chat too. Princess got her treats.
Prayer warriors, in addition to Danon, please add Cindy to your prayer list. She has a medical procedure this Wednesday that is worrisome. Thanks!!

That's quite a cloud!
ReplyDeleteI also watched The Way Home and enjoyed it. I hope there is a season 3.
Praying for Danon and Cindy.
It would have been better if I took it in smaller doses, I think. Thanks for the prayers.
DeleteNo, you're not the only person who's not fond of Hallmark movies. Maybe I've been out in the Real World too long. (I'd better leave it at that!)
ReplyDeleteHow I'd love to rest like Casper ... what a hoot!
We're beginning a new Bible study this morning: Me, Myself and Lies: A Thought Closet Makeover (by Jennifer Rothschild). I hope it's as good as promised.
Have a blessed day! xo
I don't watch either. I struggle with the predictability of Hallmark movies too. It's also why I don't read 'romance' type novels. Have a great week Terri!
ReplyDeleteI watched a few episodes of that show, but I kinda lost interest and have never gone back again.
ReplyDeleteI will continue to pray for Danon, Mali, and I'll add Cindy to my prayer list, too, Terri. Please give us updates when you can!
ReplyDeleteWe don't subscribe to the Hallmark channel, if that gives you some info. :) Have a wonderful week!
Wow that was a cloud... fortunately you don't have the heat down south of you... stay cool.. :)
ReplyDeleteI rarely watch Hallmark Movies. I tried a few around Christmas time, but just really don't get much out of them, and John isn't crazy about "girl movies", as he calls them, and so I don't really care much about watching them. I'd rather read. Casper sure is funny and cute! That was certainly quite a cloud! Wow! Glad you got some good rain for a little while at least. We still need a lot more rain here, but I know hurricane season is coming and we usually start getting regular afternoon thunderstorms in June, so I expect we'll get plenty of rain soon enough. Praying for Danon and your friend Cindy too. Take care and have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI cannot stand Hallmark movies, not even at Christmas. Like you, I hate predictability. When I was a young teen there were "Christian fiction" books that I read a lot of, and one time I realized that in EVERY book it started out with a guy and a girl meeting each other. One was rich, one was poor. One was a Christian, the other was not. By the end of the book they were both Christians and rich and of course, married. I never read any more of them.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy watching one or two Hallmark movies at Christmas time but that is about it for me! That was a big cloud! I'm glad you made it to the car. I'm saying a prayer right now for Danon and Cindy.
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks for a name of a show to watch - I do like Hallmark and always looking for shows.
ReplyDeleteI love your cat - he is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!
I love that your neighbor brought you cookies. Such a nice gesture. When we moved into our neighborhood six years ago, our new neighbors brought over a cheesecake. Since then no one else has really been so nice!
