Happy Mother's Day!

I was blessed with an angel for a mom.  She was just 65 when she succumbed to cancer.  Much too soon.  She had a heart as big as a full moon.  She was creative and could sew, crochet, knit, and craft like a master crafter.  She was a great cook (but not a baker).  She gave her all to the four of us kids and supported us in any endeavor.  After she retired from the U.S. Postal Service, she was our Pastor's secretary at Millersport United Methodist Church, where she was also in the choir.  Alto.  And she was so much more than that.  Daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt... loved by everyone.  No joke.  I miss her counsel and her caring.

With me, when I was a month old.

She was fun to be with, and Joe loved her to the moon and back.

Speaking of Joe, his mom was the best mother-in-law any girl could want.
I loved her to the moon and back!

With great-grandson, Tristan.

Wishing all moms... and all those courageously serving in that capacity... a blessed day!!

Proverbs 31:31 "Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
