Sunday Stealing...

Thanks to Bev Sykes for today's questions!  You can join in HERE!

1.  Name a TV series show or shows in which you have seen every episode at least twice: I'm watching Treme for the 4th time. I've watched every episode of Somebody Feed Phil at least four times. There are more...

2.  Name a show or shows you can't or would not miss: I really like The Voice but since I don't have live TV anymore, I watch it a day later on Peacock.

3.  Name an actor or actors that would make you more inclined to watch a show: If you are asking about TV shows, I don't know half the people in TV these days. If it's movies, Sandra Bullock, Sam Elliott, Melissa McCarthy, Helen Mirin, Meryl Streep...

4.  Name an actor or actors who would make you less likely to watch a show:  Jane Fonda.

5. You're having a lovely dinner party for friends and family.  What will you serve for appetizers, main course, and dessert? Could be lots of things but I'll say cheese and crackers and some wine (but don't eat too much!!) baked ziti with meatballs, a nice salad, and something sweet and not too filling like angel food cake made with pineapple, or just some Italian cookies dusted in powdered sugar. It's all casual at my house and friends usually bring food to contribute. We are big on potlucks here.

6. Snow storm!    You've got house guests and you're all stuck inside for the night. What do you prepare for dinner.  Will you watch a movie? Which? I haven't been in a snow storm in years and years. BUT... I would make a pot of chili and we would find something to watch, I'm sure, if the electric doesn't go out...

7. We are going to New York City for the weekend. Where do you want to go? Sorry, I have a headache. You go on and enjoy yourself.

8. You are going to night school.  They offer courses in writing short stories, painting, piano or guitar lessons, simple home repairs, baking, and gardening. Which do you pick  (or makeup one of your own)  and why? Piano lessons. I wish I had never quit.

9.   Ever been to a Drive In Theater? Would you like to see Drive-In Theaters make a comeback?  I have been to a drive-in theater and Lakeland still has one that offers current movies. Great memories when I was a kid... my dad always made a grocery bag full of popcorn to take.

10.  Should towns provide community entertainment like bands in the park, fireworks on the 4th, and community picnics or is the cost just too much? It is costly, but my beautiful city of Lakeland, FL, offers all of those!!

11.  What would you change about your town if you had the power? I would stop the crazy growth!! I liked it better with 80,000 people. We have well over 120,000 now and more coming.

12.   How often do you find yourself shopping for groceries? Big shopping about once a month with quick stops at Publix once a week or so.

13. Do you have a favorite nighttime snack? Ice cream or popcorn.

14,  Do you buy in bulk and what kinds of tips do you have to save money on grocery shopping? I have no money saving tips but I do buy at Sam's Club (bulk) every couple of months.

15. Let's have a picnic in the park.  What foods are we packing and will we cook anything there or is it all prepared ahead of time? Oh, I don't like picnics. Let's just pick up something on the way instead of packing stuff, unpacking stuff, packing it up again. I'm old and tired. Hopefully there is a bench to sit on. No blankets on the ground. Bah Humbug.

Peace and Hugs!

There’s peace that outlasts darkness,
hope that’s in the blood
There’s future grace that’s mine today
that Jesus Christ has won.

  2. Yes, thrre are a LOT of movie actors I've seen in many films, including Meryl Streep. Oddly, I've never Ironweed, which is not only ABOUT Albany, NY, it was FILMED here in 1989.

  3. I enjoy the oldie re-runs.. today's stuff has no appeal. Plus I am spoiled not having commercials. Now they are too annoying.

  4. I really need to check out Somebody Feed Phil. I've heard it's a good one!
I like The Voice too and also watch it streaming. I'm a big Survivor Fan too.
I'm so with you on Jane Fonda!
How about we skip the picnic and have lunch in an air conditioned restaurant... :)

  5. Almost all the actors I enjoy are British and most are now deceased. I agree on the Jane Fonda.
The dinner party sounds wonderful! That would be great fun.
    Blessings.

  6. Perfect response to #7, Terri! My DIL and I were just talking about their increase in unprovoked, unnecessary crime. We love watching both The Voice, and I think Idol's become lots more enjoyable since those no-talent 'oddballs' aren't getting their 15 minutes of fame. The last picnic I remember enjoying was probably 1958 - lol.

  7. I feel the same as you do about New York, Terri. Danny and I simply don't go to the movies anymore; we wait for them to come to streaming channels to which we subscribe. I'm so happy to see that more Christian-themed movies are being produced than ever before.
Blessings for a great week ahead!
