I was wondering what photos I could pull from the archives to share since I've taken no new ones this week. Then, the neighbors got some company and were outside talking with their friends, saying good-bye (couldn't understand the words). Casper was very concerned and got into this posture so he could see out the door to make sure no one was approaching our house. He can be so funny!!

Dinner last night with my Mas Verde friends was fun, as always. We went to Miller's Ale House. I was not crazy about the rice bowl salad thing that was new on the menu. It was okay but I won't order it again.
Happy that Friday is here. I'm caring for Danon and Mali's cats this weekend. One of the cats needs some medicine but she (supposedly) takes it well. I will stop in after work today, pop in tomorrow, and will go again after church on Sunday. They are visiting long-time friends, one of them is on hospice care and not doing well. They wanted to see him while he can still have visitors. The friends live out of state. I'm glad they are able to make the trip this weekend.
UPDATE: The friend mentioned above passed away last night. I won't be needed to care for the cats since the trip isn't happening now. So very sad. I know they really wanted a chance to say good-bye.
OH, so very sorry to hear that the friend passed before they could see him again, but happy for the friend that he is no longer suffering and hopefully is in the arms of Jesus today. My condolences to your friends. I love the picture of Casper! That is so funny, and also of Vinny. Such two different personalities for sure! Glad you had a fun time with your friends for dinner. That's always something to look forward to! "Are your garments spotless, are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb!"

ReplyDeleteCasper and Vinny are adorable. We have a "watch dog" that even a bird flying over head doesn't go unnoticed. The others, it's eh ... LOL So funny.

ReplyDeleteA rice bowl salad? Sounds interesting-- but I'm thinking restaurant owners are adding different (less expensive) food stuffs to their menu to keep prices down. I'm seeing more and more 'fried wickles' and 'deep fried cauliflower' ... sort of on the order of onion rings, only less tasty.
So sorry to hear the news of your friend's passing. My friend Debbie is going on hospice care. It's a sad time. Loved the picture of your cat standing up. My kitten does that. I never saw a cat do that before him. They are so cute when they do that. My other cat is like your Vinny. Have a good weekend.
