I am always surprised to find that it is Sunday evening already. Weekends seem to go so fast these days!
This post won't be long because there are no new pictures to share and nothing very exciting to report.
I met my dear friend, Shirley, on Friday after work. We had lunch at Fish City Grill. Shirley had their fish and chips. I had a shrimp and chicken pasta dish and a cup of clam chowder. It is always fun catching up with Shirley. I didn't finish the pasta dish, but ate all of the shrimp and chicken!
I got to sleep in on Saturday! The neighbors' son and daughter-in-law did wake me up around 4:30 loading up their car to head north for the summer. My bedroom is across from their backdoor and carport. It is quiet now. The 'kids' always come down and stay a couple of weeks after their parents go back and they close up the house for them. It is a big job to ready the house for hurricane season and the hot humid months ahead. I have their key in case they want me to check on things while they are gone. Anyway, I was able to fall back to sleep and the cats let me sleep until a bit past 8:00!! Unheard of!
I worked in the den a bit and got some sorting and throwing away done. There is more, but a little at a time will get me there! Dee came over with Princess for a few minutes. Princess (mini Yorkie) likes to come in and look for the cats. She wants to play but they never oblige her.
I have decided to not post on Sundays going forward, in case anyone missed me yesterday.
I went to Sunday school and church, did laundry, and I made a meatloaf for my meal, with a baked potato and peas & carrots (leftovers for today!). I sorted my meds for the next three weeks. That's it. Big whoop!!
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! Amen.
Speaking of time flying, I can't believe it's nearly May. Seems like it was just Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe had a relaxing weekend. Those are always the best kind.
Hope your day and week is wonderful! 💙
One reason that Danny and I no longer have pets is because of those wake-up calls they give us. Glad your cats allowed you to have some extra sleep this weekend, Terri.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't blame you for not posting on Sundays!
Blessings!
I understand about not posting on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteSo does one close a house up in Florida for the summer - dealing with the humidity?
Glad you got some rest and had a nice weekend.
It sounds like a perfect weekend to me. Your Sunday lunch sounds wonderful and left-overs for today is perfect to me.
ReplyDeleteI don't post on Sundays either. Honestly I'm doing good to post more than twice a week these days. I'm trying to be better about that. Have a nice week Terri!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Sunday head's up, Terri! I was wondering, and happy to hear there's nothing wrong. Did it feel wonderful to sleep in? I can't remember the last time that happened. One of the downfalls of owning fur babies who don't know how to use a litter box. (lol)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you got a lot done over the weekend, and it's nice you were able to sleep in a bit, especially after being awakened so early. I rarely get to sleep in..."someone" (not a cat or dog as we don't have any) likes to stay on a "schedule" and so it's a rare day that I sleep in. Once in a while it happens, but even then I rarely sleep past 7:00. Regarding posting on Sunday...I sometimes do and mostly don't. I actually don't like to do much blog reading or writing on Sunday, but once in a while I have something to share that can't wait. Mondays tend to be busy too, so that day often gets skipped over as well. Now I guess it's time to be thinking about Tuesday's meme, and I'm not sure I'll have time for that either as I have an eye appt. tomorrow and that often affects my vision for a while, so we shall see what develops. The nice thing is we are all here for the same reasons, to enjoy the fellowship of fellow bloggers and we kind of ebb and flow with the tide, but sooner or later we get caught up. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week.
