Sunday Stealing...

Thanks to Bev for today's questions!  You can join in HERE!

Sunday Stealing SwapBot

Stolen from SwapBot

 1.  What did you do today?  Well, I didn't go to church again.  Coughing too much.

 2.  What are the must-sees in your area?  We have beautiful parks, lakes, and historic buildings, and we are close to Orlando and Tampa and only an hour or so from both coasts.

 3. What is your favorite quote?  Gosh, I don't know.  They just pop out sometimes, depending on the situation.

 4. What was the last thing you cooked or ate?  Dinner last night was steak, rice, and broccoli.

 5. What is something you learned from your grandparents?  My granny got me started on genealogy, so family values and history.

 6. What makes you happy?  Family, friends, memories, love, my pets, my home...

 7. What is your best travel memory?  Italy.

 8. What’s the weather like today?  Sunny and a high in the high 80s.  Better.

 9. Share an interesting fact that you’ve learned.  As soon as you buy a case of cat food, the cat won't eat it.

 10. What is your favorite book, movie or band!  I have many "favorites". Books: Pillars of the Earth; The Once and Future Kind; Gone With The Wind.  Movies: Moonstruck; Pretty Woman; Hope Springs; and any with Fred Astaire...  Bands:  I am partial to the oldies from the 60s and 70s.

 11.  Write your favorite poem or haiku?  I don't have a favorite of either.

 12. What is a local festival or tradition from your area?  Mayfaire by-the-Lake is over 50 years old, held on the banks of Lake Morton every Mother's Day weekend.  It is a fine arts festival, organized by the Polk Museum of Art.

 13. What was the best thing you learned in school?  The value of friends, music, and art.

Peace and Hugs!

For the Lord is good and faithful, He will keep us day and night
We can always run to Jesus – Jesus strong and kind.

  1. I hope you get to feeling better soon, Terri. Something is going around, I can tell you our car was loaded with the green stuff, I thought it was too late in the season for that...anyways, allergies here. smiles

  2. Great responses, Terri. Especially #3. It sounds like we're experiencing much of the same weather, and the cat food made me giggle. I couldn't narrow (most of) these down to a simple answer, so didn't even try.
I hope you're enjoying a sweet day and will be rid of that pesky cough real soon! xo

  3. I'm sorry you are still coughing. This one really got you!
I agree on quotes. They hit you depending on what's going on in your life.
    Praying you feel better soon!

  4. I love music from the 60s and 70s, too, Terri. Our weather and yours sound so welcome after such a hot, hot summer. Our lows were in the 50s this morning! Continue to get better, my friend. Those lingering coughs are no fun, for sure.
Blessings for a great week ahead!

  6. You have fussy felines! We have finally mastered what they will and will not after a decade.

  7. I am sorry to hear you are still coughing and not feeling so well. It has been going around. I'm glad you stayed home to rest today. We are starting to cool down gradually here...in the low 60's in the a.m. and mid to high 80's in the afternoon, but not so much humidity...so Fall is definitely showing up on our doorstep! Very thankful for that! I hope you feel better for your trip next week to see your sister. Praying!
