Thank you, Joyce!! Y'all can become a Hodgepodger right HERE!
Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 507
2. Last time you 'burned the candle at both ends'? Oh, gosh. I can't even remember. I am too old to do that anymore! LOL
3. Are you someone with the 'gift of gab'? Elaborate (which shouldn't be a problem if you answered yes teehee). I tend to listen more but you can get me going if the subject is one I am passionate about.
4. Do you request a special meal on your birthday, and if so tell us what that meal is? The last birthday dinner Joe took me out for was to Shell's and I got crab legs! He knew it was my favorite and it is a memory I will treasure forever. He took this picture in December 2020.
Do you want the same kind of cake year after year or will any flavor work? My mom always made me a red velvet cake for my birthday so I am partial to that but any kind of cake is fine (except lemon). Do you want cake at all? It isn't necessary. Growing up were birthdays a big deal in your house? Yes. Are they a big deal now? I think birthdays are to be acknowledged and celebrated, always, and was blessed to be celebrated by my grandkids last year!! So blessed. (My birthday is in December, two weeks before Christmas.)
5. 'Age is just a number.'..agree or disagree? Tell us why. It is just a number. I've slowed down and feel the aches and pains more but each year really just gets better.
6. Insert your own random thought here. I call my former co-worker, Gregory, my techie guy. He is such a good friend and I am one of his Lakeland moms. I've written about him before. With my new modem from Spectrum, I needed to get my wifi extender reinstalled and I want to change the wifi 'name' and password from what Spectrum gave me. Gregory is the guy. I ordered Chinese food for dinner. He doesn't take money for his time but I always try to feed him. We usually do pizza but I told him pizza was not an option right now. He got it all done and we enjoyed our respective combos.

Love the birthday dinner photo. My grandkids think cake is important even on my birthday.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good chocolate cake with chocolate icing and I am sticking with it. Have a great day :)
ReplyDeleteI love a good lemon cake! lol
ReplyDeleteLove your photo...a sweet memory!
hugs
Donna
I have a lemon cake mix in my pantry right now, and I was trying to remember why I bought it. Oh, I remember...Rose made a really good lemon cake with blueberries in it and a light glazed frosting with more blueberries on top. It was very good, so I wanted to try it, but haven't done so yet. I love the picture of you and your sweet grandchildren. They are really special "kids". So glad you have a friend like Gregory to fix techie things! We all need a young techie person around nowadays. And the Chinese supper was a great option! We haven't had Chinese food in a long time. Now I want some. LOL. "Praise the Lord!, Praise the Lord! Let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, let the people rejoice, Oh come to the Father through Jesus His Son, and give Him the glory, great things He has done!" We sang that hymn on Sunday morning! One of my (many) favorites!!
ReplyDeleteGreat birthday photo of you! Enjoyed reading your answers, so much fun to know you better♥
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that photo of you in the bib! Before developing a shell-fish allergy, crab legs were a favorite! I remember putting newspaper down on the floor and we'd tear into them, dripping warm butter all over. How fortunate, having a personal, trusted IT techie! I/we know next to nothing about what makes our computer work, but so far (knock wood) stumble through. Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteOkay, now I need some crab legs...those look delicious. Love that picture and the one with your grands celebrating with you. Great to have a tech friend that can help out. Take care and have a great day!
ReplyDeleteAlthough it's usually in the form of crab cakes, crab is one of my favorites, too, Terri. Loved all the photos you shared here. Grandchildren are the best, hands down!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great picture Joe took of you with the crab legs dinner. You have such a good, positive attitude and outlook on life! Your Hodgepodge answers reflect that so well.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have a special birthday memory with Joe to treasure. It's great to have a tech guy! My nephew has helped us with several computer related things this year and that's when I feel my age lol.
ReplyDeleteAge gets better and better for you - wonderful. Crab legs with Joe is a wonderful memory.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a tech guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are having the Geek Squad over tomorrow.
I enjoyed your answer...I think I forgot to answer #2. MIght need to go back and fix it
ReplyDeleteIts been a long time since I was 35 but I think back to those days and really enjoyed the ages my kids were then. Sometimes I miss those days but now we have a bunch of grandkids. I like German Chocolate Cake but for my birthday in December I'd rather be in Florida eating Key Lime Pie and escaping our cold here YUM
