The Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie for today's Tuesday 4!!  You can join in HERE!

Candy!

Another Tuesday has arrived bringing you another Tuesday 4 kept in memory of Toni Taddeo.    Let's discuss sweets.. candy, cakes, pies, pastries, and all manner of confections.

1. What are your favorite candies?  Caramels and toffees. If the are covered in chocolate, all the better!

2.  What kind of pie, cake, and pastry tempts you the most?  Coconut custard pie, please.  Red velvet cake with my mom's icing on it.  I can tuck into a custard-filled donut quite easily.

3. How often do you have dessert?  Rarely.  Or how often do you bake goodies?  I make dessert when I have company over for dinner.  I bake more for Christmas.

4.  Your choice for dessert today:

  1. New York Cheesecake
  2. Tiramisu
  3. Cannolis
  4. Chocolate Mud Pie
  5. Creme Brulee for me!
  6. Hot Apple Pie with Ice Cream
  7. Churros con Chocolate
  8. Big Brownie with hot fudge sauce, ice cream, and whipped cream.

Which one are you picking from this menu?  I will always go for creme brulee (or some Flan!)!!

Peace & Hugs!

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
O my soul, worship His holy Name.

  1. I don't think I've ever had "creme brulee", and wouldn't know it if I saw it! LOL. Is that what it looks like in your picture above? I may have seen it before, but don't think I've ever had it. Oh, I do love coconut cream pie, the way my mother made it...with meringue on top. That's a little different than coconut custard pie, but I love that one too. "sing like never before, Oh, my soul, worship Your Holy Name..."

  2. I always loved dessert but since I can't eat sugar, I have to get creative. I made a blackberry crumble this week. Maybe I should share the recipe...it was good!

  3. Haha - you and I have some different tastes in desserts. I do not like coconut at all. Love chocolate.

  4. I've not had a good coconut custard in years! Like you, the only time we have dessert is when we've company over or baked goods during the holiday season. I'll never say 'no' to a NY cheesecake, but my DIL's carrot cake is a close second. Not sure, but I think the Cheesecake Factory features a combination of the two. Bliss!

  7. I'll take Esther Price Turtles, Chocolate Covered Cherries and Opera Cream for favorite candies. Give me chocolate cake and I seldom ever bake because I would eat it all. lol

  8. I have to say that Danny makes the best creme brulee, Terri. However, we rarely eat dessert unless we are having company.
    Blessings!

  9. The best crème Brulee I ever had was at Delmonico's in NYC. It was huge dish full too. I was a very happy camper.
