Friday Fotos...

I have been remiss in taking pictures lately but do have a couple to share...

On Monday (Memorial Day) I met my friends, Wendy and Suzette, for lunch at Ovation Bistro.  I worked 8:00 to 12:00 that day so I could get away early.  We had the restaurant nearly to ourselves so we didn't feel bad about sitting there talking until nearly 3:30.

These two women combined aren't as big as me!  LOL   Suzette is a retired nurse and Wendy retired from Florida Fish & Wildlife at our Regional Office. It is so great how God drops people into your life.  We feel like we have been friends forever instead of just months. We always have such a good time.  Suzette lost her husband after I lost Joe.  I've met Wendy's hubby, Gary, and he is a sweetheart.

One morning this week I looked up from my breakfast and computer (I read the newspaper on my computer when I am having breakfast) to see Casper on the other end of the table.  I didn't even hear him jump up there yet there he was... splayed out and sound asleep.  Cracked me up!  They aren't allowed on the table....  right.

The Mas Verde dinner group went to Il Forno Italian Restaurant last night.  I saw that they had pizza with cauliflower crust so ordered that and felt SO GOOD that I was being good.  When I got home, I Googled cauliflower pizza crust carb count... so much for being good.  It is also made with rice and potatoes so regular pizza crust has fewer carbs. Good grief.  Gluten-free but definitely not low carb.  It was quite good, though.  Nice and thin and crispy. No cheating this weekend for me.

That's all I've got for you.  Have a blessed weekend!!

Peace & Hugs!

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine...

  2. Love the photo of Casper! That is so funny. Glad you had a nice lunch with your friends. God is so good to bring people into our lives just when we need them most! How funny about the cauliflower crust! LOL. I'm glad at least it tasted good! "Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine...Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of his Spirit, washed in His blood...This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior, all the day long...." I love when you post snippets of hymns and I just have to sing along...

  4. Casper is just adorable. I recently ate a cauliflower pizza from Publix. It was delicious since I do need gluten free, but they haven't had that specific one since. Gluten free doesn't always mean low carb, but my stomach and therefore my joints likes me a lot better with GF.

  5. How I love what you said about 'God dropping people into your life'! Casper's so funny. Our Macie Ann likes to lay that way ... no filter, hahaha. Thanks for sharing the down-low on cauliflower pizza carbs ... who'd have guessed?!

  6. So great meeting your new friends and hearing how much fun you had at lunch. GLOW meetings last that long too, hard to stop when you're having such a good time. Tried keto brownies the other night, yuk. I guess brownies are out of my life forever. BooHiss
