The Tuesday 4...

Thank you, Annie, for today's questions!  Y'all can join in HERE!

Personal Snapshot

Welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4 where we try to get you talking, thinking, and making new friends while you get to know old friends better.

Today is a hodgepodge of questions for you to ponder:

1.  What TV programs that everyone else loved/loves did/do you dislike and why? Conversely, what program did you love while everyone else thought it was awful? (or maybe a song, book..etc).

Gosh, I don't really know.  I watch a lot of TV and don't know what other people do or don't like.  I sing the praises of "Somebody Feed Phil" and know some folks love it and others could care less.  I don't watch sports anymore, since Joe died.  Not that I don't like watching sports, I just don't like watching them without Joe because he made it fun.  I liked "Walking Dead" the first two or three seasons and then got tired of it.  I loved "Game of Thrones" and many didn't.  Lots of people love "Yellowstone" and I have tried three times to get past the third episode.  Not trying again.

2   Do you resent serving without thanks or see a higher purpose behind it?  I don't help people for thanks, nor do I feel pumped up because of it.  We are to love our neighbors and I help when I can.  I prefer anonymity when possible.

3.  What flavor of ice cream is your favorite and how do you like it served? (Sunday, Blizzard, cone, dish?) What toppings make your day?  I like anything with chocolate, caramel, or toffee in the name and will eat it however it is served.  I will say if it's in a cone, there aren't any dishes to do!!  LOL

4. How many pairs of shoes do you own?  I counted 31 but more than half are sandals and/or Crocs.  How many handbags? There are now 15.  I donated 10 or so and threw away two just a week ago.  Do you use/wear them all?  Yes. Should you weed them out?  I did just weed out my purses.  If the footwear hurts my feet, they get tossed or returned.  Stores don't carry my size so I need to order them.  I have big feet (can't put a castle on a foundation only fit for a chicken coop!) and shoes are hard to find.  Size 12 wide.

Peace & Hugs!

This is my Father's world:
He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass, I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.

  1. This is my Father's world...the birds their carols raise; the morning light, the lily white, declare their Maker's praise! I love the quote about the "castle". You are of a royal heritage, and so you should live in a castle! Tell me, do you wear white shoes? I don't, and if you read my post today you will see why. LOL. I enjoyed your answers. I hope you have a blessed day. We are having a major thunderstorm this morning. Woke me up around 4:30, and it is still going strong at 7:30! Wow! Still Waters Pond is happy! LOL. Bye for now.

  2. Now this made me laugh, "I have big feet (can't put a castle on a foundation only fit for a chicken coop!)" I am currently trying to purge purses and bunches of other things. Have an appointment for the VVA to come next Monday, got to get some more purging done before that.

  3. I also tried with Yellowstone but, just could not get past the first couple episodes. I agree about the cones too. I have seen where they even make cone dishes for sundays!

  4. I just cannot get into many of the new shows.. They just dont appeal to me. I spend most of my time on YouTube. I an understand the reason why you dont enjoy sports anymore. And I am sorry for your loss!.

  5. Youtube is carrying a lot of the moldie oldies with few commercials. Just saw "Rebecca". Just wonderful with Hitchcock at his best.. so many years since I have seen the classics and well worth checking out their catalog.

  6. It's good to not do things for accolades. I'd rather receive praise from my Heavenly Father too, if there's any to be given.
I used to eat the low-sugar French Vanilla ice cream. Can't remember the brand name. I would dribble lots of chocolate syrup on top. Yum! Haven't had any in donkey's years.
    Fun post. xx

  7. My daughter wears 11 narrow and also has a hard time finding shoes. I wear 8 1/2 and can find shoes, but finding comfortable ones isn't so easy.
We don't watch sports and actually don't watch a whole lot of tv. I like reality shows like Survivor and America's Got Talent, also HGTV shows. Bob watches lots of History Channel.

  8. We all have unique tastes when it comes to TV, Terri. That shouldn't bother us if we simply like what appeals to us. But now, you've got me thinking about ice cream - lol!
    Blessings!

  9. Like Martha said, what we choose to watch is so subjective. I don't care for those that think it's okay to weaver their social agendas into the story line -- but then, it's our choice to watch. Or not.
I'm giggling about the number of shoes and bags you possess. My momma would be so envious. I think when we arrived in Alabama I had one purse and 3 pair of shoes -- then I discovered estate sales. (lol) Lucky I've small closets.

  10. Collecting shoes just isn't the fun it used to be since I HAVE to choose for comfort. (I really miss being able to wear cute shoes.) Purses...I still love those, but I got rid of a lot of what I had a couple of years ago and I haven't replaced them because I just can't find many I like. I don't know if I've changed or if purses just aren't what they used to be. At any rate, I'm no longer a threat to Imelda Marcos's reputation.

  11. I liked your answers. I do like shoes and bags, I just don't have many. My hubby has way more shoes than I do...lol.
