We had yet another cookout at work this week. We have a few new employees working out of our Education Center. Callie is the new Youth Camp Director and she has hired three part-time people to work with her this summer. She supplied the food this time and invited us, from the Field Office, and staff from the Welcome Center. It was fun to meet the three new "kids" who will be working with the kids who will be attending the (day) camps. There are over 80 kids registered for the first week which starts on Monday. Anyway... after we ate and people were heading back to the office, I walked down to Derby Lake to take pictures from a different dock.
Pappa Osprey caught a fish and was waiting for it to die.
He took it to the nest for the babies. We watched him
fly up there with the fish in his claws.
Looking toward the picnic pavilion and restrooms.

Your work place is so pretty and I love that you have these cookouts.
ReplyDeleteElaine's rug is amazing! That's a great talent!
What fun to have a picnic (food provided by others) and then walk to that beautiful lake. I enjoyed your photos today Terri and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHow fortunate to be working in such pretty surroundings! Won't Elaine's son be thrilled with the rug? It's beautiful! Happy Friday, happy weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend.... lovely pics
ReplyDeleteThis is good news that you are recovered from that cold and can enjoy work and friends again. It's interesting Daddy Osprey was waiting until the fish died before taking it up to the nest with the children. I guess he was smart enough to not want a live fish to flop around the nest and possible fall to the ground.
ReplyDeleteElaine's wall hanging rug of her son's dog is amazing!! What talent she has!
What a wonderful and unique place you get to work!
ReplyDeleteSorry I have been MIA. Rick has been in the hospital for heart issues. I have had both cataracts taken care of. Hopefully I am back now. lol
If I had to return to work again, I'd love being at yours. So beautiful! Great photo of the osprey, too, Terri. And the rug? Wow! Elaine certainly has talent.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Great photos Terri. And that's a super cool rug! Yes, well done. She has talent.
ReplyDeleteBlessings. xx

So happy for you to be working in such a lovely place with fun people. What a blessing. Wow! That wall hanging/rug that Elaine did is amazing!! She is very talented, and yes, I am sure her son will love it! Glad you were able to go out to supper with your friends again. I am sure they missed you as well! So happy for you to be feeling better again and able to do the things you enjoy!! Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
