Summertime Memories
I sure hope you are enjoying these questions each week. I try hard to get good subjects and I hope you are not bored or disappointed. So, welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.
It is Summer!
1. What memorable times have you had in the summer? We were in Italy in May/June but since moving to Florida I typically don't plan vacations until the weather is better. I do enjoy family and friends coming to visit in the summer, though!
2. What foods bring back that summertime feeling? Watermelon, corn-on-the-cob, hamburgers on the grill...
3. What music do you associate with summertime? I don't have an answer.
4. Where do you want most to be in the summer if money is no object and you have the time? Somewhere cooler than Florida! LOL But I really don't mind Florida in the summer as long as I can be in the AC 95% of the time!

Yes, being "cool" is essential to surviving summer in Florida. I grew up here without AC, and I'm still not sure how we survived, but being a kid I didn't notice the heat as much as we do as adults. Back then no one had AC, not even in our cars, so we had lots of fresh (hot humid) air to keep us healthy! I am so glad you are finally feeling better! Nothing worse than a summer cold!!!
ReplyDeleteGood answers...A "slamming screen door" reminds me most of Summer...weird, I know!

We need to escape to the mountains right now. It sure is hot and humid but I love the sunshine so I won't complain...well...not much! heehee!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you in that I need the air conditioning too and I don't even live in Florida. lol
ReplyDeleteI like to be cool in the summer too. I am glad all is well with you. I saw Lakeland on the news the other night with the sinkhole and thought about you. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

I am not a Summer person and try to stay out of the heat, humidity and biting bugs the entire time. I don't venture out to work until mid-September. Even my little Maggie (the rescue dog) doesn't like this weather. She's curled up at my feet in my recliner enjoying the A/C right now. She's my little bud.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are better and hope that continues.
Blessings. xx
Watermelon, corn-on-the-cob, hamburgers on the grill...with tea with a lot of ice. Sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteI imagine everywhere there has a/c.
I think you need to come to Michigan. It's 65 degrees here today! I always say that people in the South are tough, cause I couldn't handle that heat.
ReplyDeleteGrilled burgers are summer food to me, and we haven't even done that yet.
So glad you are feeling better.
Your avatar about needing to be cool made me laugh..so cute. I am all in for the hamburgers, corn and watermelon. So delicious.
ReplyDeleteI love the summer foods you listed here, Terri. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI'm SO glad to hear you're feeling better. This hot and humid weather's for the birds, isn't it? Like Pam, I don't remember it being so annoying when I was young. At least we're one day closer to Autumn!
ReplyDeleteGood news that you are feeling better!!! As for where I'd want to be in the hot summer months, another trip to Alaska via cruise would be nice!
ReplyDeleteHow fun. We went to Italy in August 2019 and loved it. I want to go baack.
