A Quick Weekend Recap...

Yep... I FINALLY got my dirty house cleaned!!  I got up Saturday morning and got started.  I finished around 2:00 in the afternoon.  It sure feels good to have a clean house.  I didn't move the furniture, which really needs to be done, but I did get to some of the baseboards, got into corners, and vacuumed up enough cat hair to make another cat (if not two)!!  Whew!

I went to church Sunday (no Sunday school this summer), then went to Aldi's for some groceries.  I got some meat, too:  pork chops, chicken tenders, and hamburger.  When I got home, I split them up into single servings and got them in the freezer.

I did my usual two loads of laundry and it was also time to get my pills organized for the next three weeks. Done and done.  Put my feet up and became a slug for the evening.

This morning, I am dropping my car off at the mechanic who does our State vehicles and also works on some of the staff's vehicles.  My boss trusts him.  My AC is not working in my car and my mechanic doesn't have the equipment needed for my car's AC.  I am hoping for an inexpensive and quick fix.  Danon is picking me up and will drop me off after my shift.  I have an eye doctor's appointment after work, so will need my car. Fingers crossed.

Tomorrow is my church small group.  We are meeting at Livia's house.  Next time will be my turn.  We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month.

Peace & Hugs!

  2. You had a productive day!
Hope the air can be fixed. In Florida that's a needed thing!
My car is going to the body shop on Wednesday because someone drove into the back of me while I was stopped at a light... It's going to be a week without it.
    I like today's song.

  3. What a great Saturday. I'm hoping to go to Aldi's on the way home this evening. I love their produce and most everything else I've ever bought there. Hope all goes well with the car repair and your eye doctor appointment too. Have a great day, Terri!

  4. Good for you. I am trying to do that kind of things today. I am taking a break to look at a few blogs:) Hope the car is a quick fix. I had to have my A/C replaced a few years ago. The only thing that has every really happened to it. You pretty much need A/C in Florida:)

  6. I'm truly impressed with all you got done over the weekend, Terri! It's also important that you got to kick back and relax for some of that time, as it's well-deserved rest. Good luck with your car and the eye appointment!

  7. That's a lot of energy expended while the weather is so hot. How in the world did Floridians survive before the invention of air conditioning???So glad you are back up to speed!!

  8. I agree, it feels SO good after I've done an unpleasant task. Now I'm hoping your knees didn't suffer any ill effects from the baseboards job. Crossing my fingers that your car's A/C is a quick and inexpensive fix!

  9. It is such a great feeling when you look around and everything looks and smells clean....and when that happens I don't feel guilty about sitting down and doing nuthin' for a bit. Hope the A/C in your car is a quick fix and not something major. xo Diana
