Sunday Stealing.....

I never did find the Saturday:9 meme, but Sunday Stealing did show up in my feed, so let's give this a try..... and thanks to Bud Weiser for finding The Gongerling Meme for us today!''

The Gongerling Meme

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes (or surveys) from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard the expression, “honor among thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from. When possible, we contact the owner of the blog where we stole the post. We also provide a link to the victim's meme in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from this new meme or recently asked questions from a previously featured meme.

We Found this gem from a blogger named Dana from the blog “Amid Life Crises”. She states that this “started out as Jay doingSavannah's “Questions” meme”. She actually wrote some of the questions. But, this is a far as we go. At least we aren’t stealing a meme that came from one of our previous meme blogs. The funny thing about last week’ meme coming from “Rock ‘n Roll Friday” is how l didn’t realize it. Okay, now time for me to shout:

Cheer to all of us thieves!!

1. You’re building your dream house. What’s the one thing that this house absolutely, positively MUST HAVE? (other than the obvious basics of course)  More than the "basic" storage space, please!

2. What is your dream car?  One that starts when I turn the key, is somewhat good for gas mileage, and can take me from one place to another safely.  I've never been a car snob.

3. What is your favorite website that isn’t a blog.   www.PolkMuseumofArt.org   of course!!

4. iPhone or Droid, which do you want/have?  I have a "droid" and will stay loyal to the species!

5. When you’re feeling down or lonely or just generally out of sorts, what do you do to cheer yourself up?  It has been a long, long time since I felt down or lonely.  Out of sorts makes me seek a nap.

6. Tell me about something or someone that you love that most people seem to hate.  I can't think of anyone who fits that description.

7. What did you want to be when you grew up?  I have wanted to be a beautician, an art teacher, and an architect. That I ended up an accountant in an art museum seems fitting, but was the farthest thing from my mind when I was a kid.

8. Would you go on a reality show if given the chance?  No!!

9. Who was your favorite teacher when you were growing up? (Grade school, Middle School, Jr. High or High School only.)  Our band director, Mr. Hoeltzel. He taught me to play trumpet when I was in fifth grade and led our marching band to win many awards over the years.

10. You get one pass to do something illegal or immoral. What are you gonna do?  Not a thing, pass or no pass.  You have to live with yourself.

11. What were you doing 10 years ago?  Pretty much the same thing I am doing today.  Married to Joe, living in the same house and working in the same museum.

12. By this time next year, I ... WILL BE RETIRED!!!!  :)

13. What is something that you need to do but you've procrastinated on?  Start cleaning out cupboards and every other nook and cranny that haven't seen the light of day for years.

14. Which fictional, TV show character you would shag anytime?  Not one of them.

15. What is your greatest pet peeve?  People who are late and packages that don't have an easy "open here" that works.

16. Tell me about your most recent trip of more than 100 miles?  I've blogged about our visit to Folly Beach, South Carolina.

17. Which do you use more often, the dictionary or the thesaurus?  Probably the thesaurus.

18. Do you have a nickname?  Yes.  What is it?  Terri  (for Teresa)

19. What are you dreading at the moment?  Packing to move, hopefully after the first of the year. Dreading the work, but looking forward to it too.

20. Do you have a meme you think we should steal?  Nope. Sorry!  (Yes, an old trick. But c'mon now. I gotta give it a shot. It's a lot harder to find memes now. But it's ok to answer "You're lazy" an all it a day.)
Thank you for playing this week on Sunday Stealing! Please leave a comment or link when you have posted. Stop back and visit other player’s posts. That is really what this is all about, making new friends! Have a great week. See you next Sunday!

  2. As the time draws closer, you will be more excited for retirement. If you start cleaning out and throwing out now, it would be so much easier. I am not moving anywhere (except to Heaven), but I have been cleaning out too. I love looking and seeing spare space. Enjoyed your answers as always this morning, and hope you have a lovely day!

  3. I'm thinking I'm stuck living with our junk since we're not moving anywhere. ....my hubby refuses. If I lived closer, I'd help you.

  4. I am the same way about cars Terri...just a reliable form of transportation is all that is needed for me. And one of my pet peeves is lateness as well. We have many of the same traits.

  5. I'm right there with you about Droid. Some may argue that Apple produces a superior product, but they've always seemed rather 'elitist' to me. I've a Samsung now ... it sounds silly, but I really miss hearing my phone go, "Drooooid" whenever I had a message.

  6. Yes, it would be better to start cleaning out now than taking stuff with you. I am with you on more space and dependable cars. Although my dream house would have a small room for me and my books and just be my quiet room. I am guessing in number 14 what that means and would answer as you did.

  7. Fun answers. Retirement is wonderful. Just hope y'all have enough money to live off 1% interest thanks to our anti-christ government. It's tough to make ends meet! ~:)

    1. That's why we are downsizing and keeping our fingers crossed. :(

  8. EXCITING stuff - - - retirement! But moving - - - tiring but understandable. Do you have a clue where you might move or have you looked yet? Or waiting until closer when you are reading to transition?

  9. I have been cleaning out, organizing, and getting rid of stuff this summer. No exciting reason...just that our daughter moved out in June and Tim's been using my car for a month now and I am stuck at home so may as well be productive. I'm glad it's not time for us to think about retirement. Thanks to our government, the feds and the vampires in Harrisburg, retirement scares the bejeebers out of me.

  10. It's going to be an exciting time for you but if your house is anything like mine it will be a lot of work to declutter ready for downsizing. Hopefully you won't be in too much of a rush.
