I heard from my dear friend, Melody, yesterday. I've mentioned her, asking for prayer in previous blogs. She is in the hospital with a cancerous tumor in her neck. It is too big and wrapped around too many important things to make surgery possible so she has been getting radiation and chemo. She has lost weight and is not doing well at all. I ask that those of you who have her on your prayer lists to please keep her there! I am going to try to get up to see her this week. I can't take a day off because of the audit, but perhaps I can get there one evening. She wouldn't have asked me to come if it wasn't important. Her husband, daughter and best friend have been with her so I haven't been concerned about her being alone, but am now, since she is reaching out.
We have been through some rough health times with Melody before. She needed a liver transplant because of a very rare kind of hepatitis (no idea how she got it) and got a match not long after coming out of a 3-day coma. I'm so sorry she is going through this again.
I am thankful for her friendship and that she is getting great care at the Moffitt Cancer Center over in Tampa. I am thankful for prayer warriors who really do pray for others. Thank you!
This is Melody at a birthday celebration back in 2010. Her birthday is August 17th. It would be great to have her home and doing better by then!

Aside from this big concern, the audit started yesterday and is going smoothly so far. It usually does go well since the lead has been here for a few years now and knows how things go. Thankful for that, too!

ReplyDeleteNever apologize for requesting prayers! Thank Heaven we have the Holy Spirit making intercession to Son who prays to the Father for us in prayer. I lifted up Melody in prayer too. Moffitt Cancer Center is a great place. They'll take very good care of her.
