John Kennedy. I was in Jr. High when he was shot and that's really the first time I really became aware of who the President was and how important he was to our country.
I think John Kennedy was the first President I remember, too. When he was shot, our teacher took us outside and had us gather around the flag pole and pray....wasn't that just awesome? HOPE you got some much needed rest today.
JFK here, as well. ... the first of many occasions when I can honestly close my eyes and recall the moment in detail. And, I've still two embedded bits of pebble visible in my knee cap where I fell in our Jr. High parking lot, running to the cafeteria for more information.
Guess I'm the old one because I remember Eisenhower. I remember when JFK was elected. I remember his inauguration. I also remember his debate with Nixon but was too young to understand what it was about.
