I almost didn't have anything to post today for Friday Foto Friends. Then I opened Facebook this morning and found photos posted by our grand-niece, Alaina, and decided to borrow a few of hers to share.
Alaina is in London this summer, on a Fulbright Scholarship!! We are SO proud of her and she is having a blast in London. She posted over 30 photos, but this one says it all. What a wonderful experience for a recent high school graduate, and what a great start to her college experiences.
Alaina and her mom visited with us in the Spring (I blogged about it). Alaina's graduation gift was a trip to Universal Studios so she could experience the Harry Potter attraction there. Her mom, Linda, is the daughter of Joe's older brother. Their husband/dad passed away a couple of years ago of a massive heart attack. Much too young. Daughter Gina, an artist and graduate of SCAD, is married and living in Massachusetts, and son Nicholas is an engineer living and working in Connecticut. They have all done well. Linda recently sold their very large house in Gambrills, Maryland and is moving to Baltimore to begin a new chapter in her life.
We took them out to breakfast at KeKe's.

AWESOME!! Congratulations on the Fulbright, that is one of my dreams as well...smiles. Have a Joyful Friday, friend.
