Friday Foto Friends.....

Linking up with Debbie for Friday Foto Friends.  Visit her over on Breathing In Grace!

I decided to snap some photos after I left work yesterday, and take you on the ride home with me.  Not an original idea because Mari does this once a month or so.  Her ride is much prettier than mine, though!

I had to stop at the bank and make a deposit for work.  The driver of that van had to get out, climb the ladder and rearrange the ladders on top of the van so they would fit under the overhang.  Took him several minutes.  How silly. The lobby was still open. Scratching my head.....

Leaving the bank, that is Lake Morton on the left.  I've written about the bird sanctuary before. It is a lovely lake and park area.

Turning left onto South Blvd., the first house you see belongs to a local attorney. It is quite stately.

This is a Methodist Church that is registered as historical. I've been inside and it is beautiful.

Turning onto Lake Hollingsworth Drive, there is a new house being built. It is going to be huge. It is fun watching it go up.

This is Lake Hollingsworth. We call it the walking lake. It is 3 miles around (or 5K) and there are walkers and runners around it 24/7.

Driving on around Lake Hollingsworth.....

We come to the Lakeland Yacht & Country Club.  It is closed now, for some major renovations.

From the Yacht Club turning right onto Cleveland Heights Blvd.....

At the next light, I turn left onto Hallam at the little strip shopping center.  Gasoline at the Sunoco is $2.13 a gallon for regular!  Nice to see it coming down again!

Only a couple more miles to go (6 altogether)....

I have a Rosary and a couple of charms hanging from my rear view mirror.  The Rosary was a gift from a Multiply blogging friend who went to the Holy Land and bought this in Bethlehem.  It has been blessed and I feel protected with it hanging there.

Our development coming up on the left.

The house on the right belonged to our friend, Sheila.  The new owner hasn't moved in yet.

And here I am at home, the little green house.  The van parked in front means the kids are here!!

So glad I was able to take today off.  We have plans to visit a winery north of Lakeland, in Clermont. Haven't been there in several years so it will be fun to see it again and enjoy a tasting.

Thanks for your visit today!  Peace & hugs.

    1. That's quite a drive for your brother...probably an hour for him, if not a little more. Ocala is about 2.5 hours from Lakeland. Clermont is about an hour drive for us.

  4. I love this post Terri...now I know what it looks like where you live. I may borrow that idea. And I would love to have a three mile walk that was a loop!! I could get most of my daily steps in one place.

  5. I'd be at that little 3 mile run route all the time if I was close to it.
I love a church that has big steps in front.
