I don't link up with the Friday Fragments group, but will post some odds and ends here for you today.
- I had lunch with Cindee and Shirley today. Lunch was not so good at the Butterfly Bistro. We all got the same special and all thought it tasted just so-so, and was very dry. Yellow rice and chicken, with peas. BUT - it was good to reconnect and catch up with each other, which is really what it's all about, anyway!
- My yoga session last night was more of a 'getting to know each other' thing. Ali wanted to learn about why I wanted to be there, and what I hoped to get from it. I think we connected. I like her, and I like that the sessions are private - not in a group setting. We decided on every two weeks, and one will be yoga and the other Pilates, so I can work on replacing some core muscle. We'll see how it goes after the next couple of times. I'm hoping she can give me some tools I can use on my own, at home. I can't really afford every two weeks, for very long!
- Our flooring is stuck on a truck, somewhere up in the frozen tundra. It was supposed to be in on Wednesday, and I hoped they would be installing it yesterday and today. Now we have another weekend with our chaos. I can't complain. It's not their fault. I'm just disappointed that I don't have the weekend to put things away.
- I didn't post about the Docent Recognition Dinner that I attended on Tuesday evening. It was a lovely time, hosted by our Director, Claire, at her home. The Docents all seemed to enjoy the evening, and it was fun getting to know some of them better. Here are a couple of photos I took. One of the buffet line and then just one looking out on the room.
- Since we don't have rooms to put back in place this evening, I have a shopping list for Sam's Club, so we may go do that tonight. This is also the weekend for the Lakeland Junior League's big Pig Fest (BBQ) fundraiser, which is held out at the Tiger's Spring Training stadium. It also supports Girls Inc. HERE is a link if you are interested. There is a BBQ competition, too. We may run up there tonight. I'll have to see what Joe wants to do. I hear that they start running out of food on Saturday, so tonight is the best time to go, but also the most crowded. We've never been to it, and maybe it's time we find out what it's all about!

You're gonna be a busy bee for awhile. Hope the flooring gets installed soon. It's disconcerting living in a renovation zone. [Been there, done that.] Have a happy weekend. ~:)
ReplyDeleteI hope your flooring arrives soon. I can tell you that we have blizzard conditions here again - hope the flooring has made it south of us. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good time at your dinner. Have a great weekend!
I don't know where your truck with the flooring is, but if he's up around here, he is stuck. The road crew is back out on the highways with the plows. The strong wind is drifting them closed again. I hope they can get through soon. I know how anxious you are to get it.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
How long until your floor is unfrozen?
ReplyDeleteOk Mrs. Busy Bee, hope you get to the BBQ...let us know how your liked it. I know you were anxious to have everything done, so you could put it in order, but like you said, not your fault and nothing to do but wait out the terrible weather. It was 8 here this morning. I believe that is the coldest here in a long, long time. Hugs and happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteHopefully your flooring gets there soon. Can't wait to hear about your next yoga session. Enjoy the bbq. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletePrayfully your floors will be here soon. Enjoy Sams, we don't have one, you have to go to Rochester for that. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI really hope the yoga works for you. I would love to have private sessions like that! There is a class that meets here but they're all 30 somethings and I just don't think I can keep up.
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to how you have found so many friends and groups etc. here on blogger. I still feel out of the loop on here. Is there something I'm missing?
Too bad about your new floors, but I know how much you'll love them when they're installed. The BBQ does sound delicious, so hope you were able to make it.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your flooring. BBQ sounds delicious to me.
ReplyDeleteHope you both have a good evening.
Sorry to hear that your flooring has been delayed! The buffet at the Docent Recognition Dinner looked like it could feed an army...yum! Good luck with your yoga!!
