I think I just made up that title, but I'm going with it!!
- The auditors are keeping me busy. Not a bad thing, but hard to get regular work done.
- I have my every-four-weeks facial tonight. It is usually on Thursday nights, but Dawn asked me to switch so someone could be worked in before a vacation (or something). I don't mind at all!
- I am over being weary. Not sure what bug I had yesterday, but I seem to have shaken it off.
- Our friend, Al, who died in March, would have celebrated his 86th birthday this Saturday. We are taking Helen out for dinner to remember his special day (though we are going Friday evening, instead of Saturday).
- The sun is shining for the second day in a row! Have our rains actually stopped? Could we be so lucky?
- Prayers have been answered for my blogging friend, Chuck, and his wife Pat, who got word yesterday that her cancerous tumor is GONE!! Praise God. Makes me happy when we can win the battle! Cancer sucks.
- Speaking of cancer, my brother-in-law got through his radioactive iodine treatment for his thyroid cancer. Been there, done that. More prayers answered!
So happy and thankful to hear about the answered prayers. Enjoy your time and dinner with Helen. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWe will enjoy being with her Friday night! I am so thankful, too!
DeleteWhat a happy post! Thankful for all these good reports. :)
ReplyDeleteThankful here, too!
DeleteSo glad you're feeling better today. Hopefully the audit is almost done and you'll be able to take a breath.
ReplyDeleteI've been keeping up on the news about Pat. I told Chuck that we were rejoicing with them. Cancer is such a horrible disease. Her type is what took my mother-in-law. I'm praying your brother-in-law will get his miracle too. God bless him.
I'm sure Helen will have a nice time with you Friday evening. She's fortunate to have you.
You have a good evening. ♥
It was a good evening, Carol. Thanks for all the good thoughts!
DeleteI too am thankful that Pat got good news. Chuck has been a trooper for sure. Helen is lucky to have you and Joe as friends and I am sure she knows it too. Glad the audit isn't dragging you down. Having that facial will give you a boost for sure. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThe facial was wonderful!! Hugs back!!
DeleteI have never had a facial....you need to tell me what they do....glad for all the answered prayers...lots to be thankful for. Have a restful night.
ReplyDeleteRuth, I find the facial more relaxing than a massage! She deep cleans, gets rid of blackheads, moisturizes, and finishes with a nice moisturizer. It takes about an hour and 20 minutes. My skin looks better and feels great! I recommend it to everyone!
DeleteThankful for answered prayers. Helen is blessed to have your friendship. I know she will appreciate your support.
ReplyDeleteAlways thankful for answered prayers. Helen (and Al) has been a good friend for nearly 25 years. It goes both ways!
DeleteSo glad you are feeling better today. That's great about all your good news.
ReplyDeleteGood news is always welcome, that's for sure!
DeleteI always invent my titles. You probably felt a lot more relaxed after your facial. Hope so anyway and also hope Helen is doing well. It must be a difficult time for her. I don't think you ever stop missing the person who's gone. I still miss my mother and I know my brothers and sisters do too.
ReplyDeleteSo true, Brenda. I was just thinking about my dad coming in to work this morning, and he has been gone since 1989. Some voids are never filled, though the love lives on.
DeleteGood news that at least someone is kicking cancer's butt!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that, Julie!
DeleteThat is such awesome news about Chuck's wife! Power of prayer!!
