- The Women's Center called already with the results from my MRI. They saw something on the left breast that they want to look at with an ultrasound, which is now scheduled for this coming Tuesday. My random thought about this is just to wonder if they are milking my insurance company for every penny they can get; or I am blessed to have insurance and that a problem can be caught before it is worse; and those two thoughts are followed by wondering if I could go the way of Angelina Jolie and just get the crazy things taken off once and for all. Sigh.
- I am getting my hair cut tonight, and I am asking her to CUT it this time. No trim. I want my hair short, short, short. I'm sick of uncontrollable frizzy curls. Short works so much better, especially in the summer.
- Our sweet Onyx has lost more weight according to Dr. Jill, who made a house call last night. He got a shot of vitamin B and a shot of steroid. Poor boy needs to eat and stop losing weight. She is afraid it might be a form of cancer that is just not detectable yet, except in his weight loss. She will visit again next month. He behaves normally and does not seem to be hurting.
- We are going to try to get up in time to go to our local farmers' market, which takes place in our historic downtown area every Saturday. We just never think to go, and have decided to go this weekend. I'll keep you posted!
- The dinner at the Museum Board President's house, last night, was very nice. They had it catered (of course) by a local Cuban Restaurant. It really was delicious. Yellow rice with chicken, steamed rice with black beans, melt-in-your-mouth pork, fried plantains, salad, and for dessert, flan and key lime pie. Beverages included sangria, sodas, water, and beer. They treated us very well, and it was fun visiting with staff members I don't get to talk to much at work because they are downstairs, and I am upstairs. Fun! Their home is a mansion and gorgeous, with two dining rooms - one on each side of the huge kitchen. The marble foyer has a fountain in the middle of it. You get the picture.... major wow factor.
I don't know why that first #1 is stuck up there, but I can't make it go away. Thanks for stopping by my page! Wishing you a good weekend! Peace, love & hugs.

Random 5 Friday

From one person who is OCD in wanting things in order, to another,I didnt even notice the extra 1! God will take care of you, whether it be the extra insurance coverage for those visits, or telling you He is making sure you are ok. Sounds like the dinner was awesome or at least in an awesome place with food to 'die for'! Happy Friday and wishing you and Joe a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the extra 1 either, but then I can pass someone I know on the street without noticing it's a person I know. On Tuesday a couple of my students saw me on the street as I was hurrying to the underground. Unfortunately, it's a possibility that the clinic is trying to get money out of your insurance company. Anyway, I'll keep you in my prayers and Onyx too.
ReplyDeleteI think like you when it comes to additional tests...right now that is what is on my mind too. Tuesday is my day for the additional tests too...I am looking forward to having that over with. Sorry to hear about Onyx...I hope it is not a serious problem and that he will start eating regularly again. Good luck on Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteKeep us posted on the ultrasound - I do hope they find nothing. I hope Onyx perks up for you - poor kitty.
ReplyDeleteUgh on having another test. Hopefully they won't find anything. Poor Onyx. Hope he feels better soon. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour page is so pretty today. I love those colors.
ReplyDeleteI have you in my prayers. It is good that you have insurance and we never know what the dr. office is planning when it comes to insurance claims. But I hope and pray it's just a shadow or thick tissue.... nothing serious. Stay positive.
I have a hair appointment Monday and I'm doing the same thing. Short. I hate trying to style the stuff only to walk outside and have the wind destroy all my hard work. :)
Poor little Onyx. I hope he gets better after this shot.
Oh my gosh.... their house sounds gorgeous. I'm glad you had a good time.
Have a great weekend and let me know what goodies you got at the market. ♥
I am saying prayers that everything comes back good when you take your ultra sound. I often wonder at the amount of tests that a doctor will order. When the kids were younger, I noticed that no matter what I took them in for, the doctor would want to test them for strep and mono. I thought that was odd because they didn't even have the symptoms.
ReplyDeleteBummer on another test but good that they found something early. God will show you the direction to go on surgery. I hope I don't get to experience breast cancer but have always said if there is a problem and removing them would get it gone, I would surely consider it. They won't be used to nourish babies anymore and I am not out to catch another man! A couple of women in our church have had it done - - - with reconstruction - - and they look better than before!!! It does help to know what insurance will cover though.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they can rule everything out and you won't have surgery. How do you like your haircut? Hugs, sandie
