Sunday night...

The weekend is over much too fast (as are most weekend, I guess)!

We had a very nice time with Tristan this weekend.  We tried to talk him into bringing his cat and coming back with us for the rest of the week, but he is happy staying home alone (with his cat).  He is studying for his SATs, got a new bass guitar that he is learning to play, and is just enjoying his time before school starts again. His best friend is on a cruise with his family, so it's been a little lonely, I think. Kathy and Jim get home on Thursday.

We got home around 1:30, and I got the laundry started (yes, it's Sunday and I have to mention laundry).  Put things away, made some dinner and now we are watching a couple more episodes of Midsomer, on Netflix. Love this British series!! Look for it, if you like interesting detective stories...very much like Murder, She Wrote and Columbo. We love it.

The audit starts tomorrow, at work. It always goes well, buy I am always anxious to get it going and even more anxious to have it over.

Wishing you a good week ahead!!  Peace, love & hugs.

  1. I totally agree that the weekends go by much too quickly. Yesterday (Sunday) I was thinking it was Saturday. Wishful thinking? Glad you arrived home safely.

I'm thinking if I have enough mix I'll make some more cornbread since we have another cool day. It's sunny though, so we'll soon be hot again. Hope you get a lot of work done today.

  5. Yep, it's another Monday. I think it's now an unwritten law... all weekends must go faster than week days. Hope the audit today is going well.
Glad to hear that you had a good weekend with your grandson. It sounds like he's a good kid, and old enough to take care of himself. You and his parents aren't worried about wild parties that will destroy the house and have the cops beating on the door. (I've seen too many movies... hehehe)
You have a good day. ♥

    1. He goes to a very small private school, with only 30 kids in his class. No worries about wild parties with him. His best friend is on vacation, so Tris is pretty much a lonely bachelor...no girlfriend right now, either. He is a geeky guy and not into sports, hates the beach, and enjoys solitary pursuits. I worry a little about him, but he is a good kid!

  6. Kids probably love to have some time alone. Remember?
