If it is Thursday....

.....tomorrow must be Friday!  Hooray! I guess I am wishing my life away, longing for Fridays as I do, but Friday always means the weekend is near. Weekends bring more than 5-6 hours of sleep at night, and (usually) no real schedule to adhere to.  Someday, I hope I can retire.

I told you about my "major award" (did anyone pick up on my using a line from "The Christmas Story" movie?) yesterday, and that Blogger was not letting me post the photo I took of the sea salts. Well, here is the picture:

Not sure what yesterday's problem was, but it posted easily for me today!  Isn't that a cute little spoon to use, to measure out a pinch of salt? I am anxious to see it there is a distinctive taste difference.  Will keep you posted!

Tonight, I will be having dinner with the rest of the Museum staff, at last year's Board President's house. He and his wife are graciously hosting the get-together, to thank staff for our just ended fiscal year. Very nice of them. Joe will be at home, dealing with the cats and our veterinarian, who is making a house call to give Onyx a couple of injections, one of Vitamin B and one of a steroid. We need to get his system boosted to keep him healthy. He is only 13 years old, and should not be failing like he has been. I think the infection may actually be gone, so hope these injections will make him hungry and he can put on some of the weight he lost fighting that bacterial infection that wasn't diagnosed properly until a month ago.

I'm posting this on my lunch hour, since I'll be late getting home tonight.  Hope you are having a good day, and that your Friday will bring blessings.  Thanks for stopping by! Peace, love & hugs.

  2. Hi Terri! Are there different flavors to the sea salts? The little spoon is cute! Have fun tonight at your dinner and I sure hope that the injections will help Onyx. How are your other fur babies doing?

    1. Kris, I did taste all the salts tonight. Of course, they are salty, but there are different levels of saltiness, if that makes sense. Two are quite salty, and two are less so. Quite interesting, actually!

  3. Interesting to hear what and if any difference, you find in the sea salts. Sure hoping that Onyx gets better and will start gaining weight and being more like his old self. Have fun at the dinner. Hugs

  4. That is a good prize to win! Sorry, I hope I'm not the only one who missed the connection with the movie. I'm happy that you won. I use sea salt when I use it, but I think yours must be flavoured.

Hope Onyx gets stronger. He must miss his boy. Enjoy your dinner tonight too.

  5. I missed the connection to the movie too and I've seen that movie many times. I'm wondering, like a few others above, if those salts are different flavors. I've used sea salt before. It's suppose to be healthier for us.
I hope you're having a good time at the dinner party. Can't wait to hear all about it. (not being nosey)

  7. I didn't even know there were different kinds of sea salts. Maybe they're from different places? Enjoy!

  8. I did a search on the salts at that company and it is very interesting how they harvest the salts from the different areas of the world It also tells about the different textures (coarseness) of them. It was some fun stuff to learn!
I do hope the kitty gets better. On one of our visits, I asked the vet why when they get sick it happens so rapidly. You probably know it is because they live their lifetime in just a very few short years so when something happens, it progresses at an accelerated speed. It hurts our heart to see them having problems though.
