We get up to sunshine and blue, fluffy white cloud-filled skies and by noon, the dark clouds blow in and the rain starts. I am really tired of rain, thunder and humidity!
I did a light dusting and vacuuming this morning, to get up most of the cat hair in the house. Steam mopped the laundry room and kitchen, and have the laundry started. The work is nearly done for the day. I still need to decide what to make for our dinner. I really get tired of making cooking decisions, and that is probably why we go out to eat more than we should.
Vinny has formed a truce with Cookie and Onyx. He and Lilly are cautiously playing, with Lucy being the grumpy hold-out. Vinny is still not sure he wants to go outside. We find this funny, since he had never been inside a house before we brought him home. You would think he would be longing for the outdoors. He used to chase squirrels and climb trees, according to my sister. Now, he is happy to stay inside. I guess when he is ready, he'll take that step... he IS curious, but just not ready.
I have a busy week at work, coming up. The audit starts on the 26th, so I have to finish up all the year-end things and get ready for the auditors to be there. Tuesday is my second ultrasound, so that will take a couple of hours out of my day. It will all get done, though.

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Vinny is adjusting. Rocker, our cat, has no desire to ever go outside again, either. Guess they know when they have a good thing!
We had rain all morning, got about two inches. That's ok, tho. Much much better than the triple digit temps we've been having.

Since you said it was raining, I thought from the photo that Vinny was sad because he wanted to go out. Maybe he thinks if he goes out, he won't be permitted to come in again. Hope you get some good weather soon. We,ve had rain in lots of parts of Spain, but nothing here.

Hi Terri! I love your new background! I totally get what you are saying about trying to come up with different ideas for dinner. It can be so frustrating. I usually don't have everything I need to make whatever I decide on and I hate having to run to the grocery store. So happy that Vinny is starting to feel comfortable! Good luck this week with the preparation for the upcoming audit!

ReplyDeleteWe've had a lot of rain here this summer. Hubby has had to cut the grass at least once a week. Usually we can go 2 weeks or more.

I know exactly what you mean about the meal planning. The meat always has to be taken out of the freezer the night before, but what will I be hungry for 24 hrs. from now? I don't know. And what will Bob want? When we go out to eat, we each get a big choice and most often he chooses something different than me.
