June 29th: Monday Musings

Susan and I walked on both Friday and Saturday mornings.  That's the most activity I had all weekend!!

I want to report a silly incident!  A resident of Mas Verde was walking his dog on Friday morning, and we stopped to admire the pup and give the dog a pat.  The man asked if Susan and I were mother and daughter. He has noticed us walking and wondered about it.

WHAT?!!!  Susan is two years younger than me, is lovely and petite, and doesn't look old enough to be my mother!!  ...I just turned that around because we both "assumed" that he thought I was Susan's mother. I'm the one with the white frizzy hair!  Susan was horrified that he would insult me in that way.  I'm still chuckling about it!

I was playing with ChatBot and added new backgrounds to two more photos of my boys.  Vinny found Casper on a tree limb in a forest of his dreams...

On Saturday, after my walk, I stuck my new, plastic, red-white-and-blue flowers in my front bed.  They don't show up clearly in the picture, but here they are...

A close-up of the flamingos...

I went to church on Sunday, did my laundry, and I had some leftover meatloaf for my main meal of the day, along with potatoes and green beans.  Caught up on Sunday posts in my YouTube subscriptions, and some more of season 16 of Murdoch Mysteries on Acorn.  That was my weekend!!

I'm walking this morning, have a prescription to pick up at Publix pharmacy, and need to do some cleaning.  I have a hair appointment on Wednesday.  Maybe I will talk to her about coloring my hair!!  😜  Thursday is Bible study and dinner out with the MV group, and I have special dinner plans with a blogging friend on Friday!!  More about that later!!  I'm going to the potluck at our clubhouse on Saturday.  Judy and Tim want to attend, and they need an invite from a resident (they don't live here now), so I put them down as my guests.  It will be fun and will be followed by the golf cart parade.  Happy 4th of July on Saturday!

Peace and Hugs!

God bless America
Land that I love...

  2. hehehe! That did make me chuckle about your and Susan being mistaken for mother and daughter. Over the weekend I was mistaken for my youngest daughters sister, I was very happy about that. lol
What fun photos and your front bed looks great! I love the flamingos.
It sounds like you have a fun week planned.

  3. That guy was crazy who thought we were mother/daughter. More like sisters!!! I love the color of your hair! The pictures of the cats are so cute! Great job!

  4. Years ago I had the very same thing happen -- my 'bonus daughter' (only 8 years younger than me) and I were leaving the gym and someone asked if we were mother/daughter. I didn't know whether to laugh or frown ... but I did go take a long look in the mirror.
Love those images of Casper and Vinny!

  5. Dear Terri, I absolutely love the images of Casper and Vinny! I haven't yet tried AI for anything, but I would imagine that once you try it and get used to it, it can be fun! I guess I am still a bit leery about this AI, but I should perhaps try it eventually, once I figure out how to! Thank you so much for sharing, dear friend, and I absolutely love what you did with these images!

  6. Oh, I need to do something like that with my Susie. Then frame it. Casper and Vinny look very cute in those photos.
I've had the same thing happen to me. Oh well. That's why I never say anything like that...maybe I'll ask if they are related. It probably was some old man, huh? 😉
❓❓Can't wait to hear who the mysterious blogger friend will be meeting you for dinner.

  8. I don't understand why some people ask such questions. Talk about the dog and the weather and stuff like that...

  11. YOu sure do keep busy, but that's so wonderful! And don't you dare color your hair (unless you really want to!) Once you start that, you can never stop! LOL. And you are BEAUTIFUL just the way you are! That man wasn't thinking very straight. Probably senile. LOL. Love the photos of your kitties with those backgrounds. I don't know how to do that, but it sure lovely!!! And who's the blessed blogger you are meeting for dinner??? Enquiring minds want to know! I guess we'll find out eventually!!! Have fun!!! Take pictures!!! Have a great week.

  12. We have zero plans for the fourth. Our neighborhood used to have a parade and a pot luck. I don't know why they stopped! Now we have an August gathering - but no parade. We have a Mardi Gras parade and on Halloween, we have a pumpkin decorating contest, a house decorations contest, and pizza in one of the parks prior to trick or treating (neighborhood kids).
