Things About You
Hi dear friends, and welcome to Tuesday 4. Toni Taddeo's invention and our pleasure to continue in her memory.
This week, you are the topic.
1. What is something you are proud of that we don't know about? I write about my sons and my grandkids often. I am proud of them. That also includes nieces and nephews. I'm proud of myself that I completed my college degree at age 50, but I've written about that too. I can't think of anything I've not written about here since 2007, when I began my blog. This is my journal.
2. What subjects or things are overrated or talked about too much in your opinion? Politics!
3. What things and topics should be talked about more often, or are underrated in your opinion? Faith!! It's nice to hear more people talking about their faith in God.
4. Are there any things you've changed your mind about in the last few years? I think perhaps my being okay with saying "no" and not feeling bad about it. How about you?
You have a lot to be proud of. I didn't know you completed a college degree at 50! That is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, politics is talked about far too much and it causes so many disagreements.
The older I have got the more I have realised it is OK to say no. I think it's something you learn with age.
I like all your answers. I'm so sick of hearing about politics all the time too. I think it just causes more division.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on 'too much about politics' and not enough about God! I felt good when I learned how to say no politely but firmly in my 40's!
ReplyDelete#4 ... I'm still learning. Definitely a 100% on #'s 2 and 3!
ReplyDeleteI'm so grateful that more people, especially the younger ones, are talking about God and turning back to the traditions of the church, Terri. Yes, there is too much discussion of politics, isn't there? Let's tone it down!
ReplyDeleteThere was a time when I had trouble saying NO and it got me rattled more than once. I've learned to say NO loud and clear. I completely agree with you on #2 & 3 !! Hope you're having a great day.
ReplyDeleteGood answers. #2 for me too: so many suffer from identity politics it seems and it is boring. Let's talk about the Lord. Loving Jesus is a much better identity. Blessings. ❤️
ReplyDeleteYes, I, too, have become much more at ease with saying "no" than I ever was in my younger adult years. Age, practicality, ability, and just plain good sense have combined to help me to be more practical when imposed upon for certain things.
ReplyDeleteI like to hear about faith too. And I sense you are a strong woman. Graduate of college at 50! I did not know that. AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteDear Terri, I echo Mari's comment. ♥️
ReplyDeletewonderful answers! Yes, we talk politics far too much and not enough about our faith in God.
ReplyDeleteI love that you graduated from college at 50 -- I keep that in the back of my mind when I'm struggling!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers. I'm late getting around to commenting. Definitely I'm better at saying no and being okay with that
