The Tuesday 4...

 Thanks to Annie for today's four questions!  You can join in right HERE!

Teenage Years...

 Hey Kids! It's time once again for Tuesday 4 brought to you each week in memory of Toni Taddeo!  So, settle down with a cuppa and a pink cupcake (they fix everything) put on your thinking caps...You've got homework to do!

1. Did you have a teen heartthrob? Wanna tell who it was and maybe why? Maybe there was a teen actress you looked up to?  I thought Paul Peterson was cute, and Ricky Nelson.  I "went steady" my sophomore year, with Archie.  He lived a block away, down the street and played drums in the marching band.  Not really a "heartthrob" but we had fun.

2.  When you were a teen, what song made you happy when you heard it playing?  Did you and a boyfriend/friend have 'Your" song?  Archie and I didn't have a song.  I wasn't really a Beatles fan, but liked the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, Blood, Sweat and Tears- it is a long list, but you get the idea.

3.  Were sleepovers a thing in your area?  How about sweet 16 parties?   Were they the thing to do or not?  Sleepovers were fun when I was in Jr. High.  I did go to a few sweet 16 parties, but I didn't have one.

4,   You are suddenly transported back in time, and you are 16 years old.   You've got school tomorrow. Lay out your outfit for tomorrow and tell us what it consists of.  You can't see the entire dress, but I made the shirt-waist dress I am wearing in this yearbook picture.  It was a burnt orange color, and I was very proud of it.  I am sitting down with the "flip" hairstyle...

                                                                                    ^^ that's me

Peace and Hugs!!

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee;

  2. I enjoyed reading your answers and seeing your teenage photo. I always wondered how the girls could flip their hair like yours. I always just let mine go straight. It was so heavy I couldn't do much with it. I see you and I shared a love of the same bands back in the day.

  3. Fun memories! I remember the flip hairstyle and I remember my mom giving me a home perm to try to get it!

  5. Wonderful dress that you made! That was difficult, with long sleeves, collar and buttons, etc. You were a pro! I mostly made easy things like a-line shift style dresses that didn't require anything too difficult! Maybe a zipper. You and I had similar hair styles too, but mine never got that long. I had to use orange juice cans to roll it on to get the cowlicks out and make it flip like that. No blow dryers in those days. Fun answers. I remember Paul Peterson, but what show was that..oh, Donna Reed? I liked Ricky Nelson too. Fun memories.

  6. Wow, I'm impressed by that shirt-waist dress you made. I tried making one for our HomeEc final, but in the end my BF had to finish at the 11th hour. (I don't think Liz has ever let me forget that, lol). The only celebrities I remember crushing on were Clint Eastwood and Glen Campbell. George Harrison, too -- but even back then a Beatle was pie in the sky.

  7. Burnt orange! I remember that being one of the "in" colors Back In The Day. Pretty you with the charming smile with a pretty dress.
    Blessings. 🍀
