Friday Fotos...

Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!

I can usually make a decision without going back and forth, questioning my first decision, or changing my mind.  Good grief, this has been a tough week for me.

I have three gray colors on my kitchen walls and bathroom walls.  I ended up asking neighbors what they thought.  I really don't usually second-guess myself.  Even after buying "London Fog" paint, I wondered if it was the right decision.

Then, I went to the eye doctor on Tuesday, and the test showed that my left eye has changed a lot, and continued healing from my cataract surgery was the reason.  I went out to see the optitian and to choose some new frames.  Here I go again.  I picked out four, then eliminated two of those, but couldn't decide on which one of the two I liked best.  The optitian told me his favorite.  The technician told me her favorite.  I got up from my seat, walked into the waiting room, and asked two strangers to please pick the pair they liked best.  Who does that?!!  Am I off my rocker?!!  I chose the one they both liked.

So, I hope that I like the glasses as much as I like the London Fog color that Sheri painted in the guest bathroom yesterday.  She will be back this morning to put on the second coat.  I am so happy with the color!!  Here are a couple of photos I took after she left.  You can't really tell because the lighting isn't that good, but I am happy with it!!  Whew!!

The one below is the best representation and contrast.

Enough of me and my paranoia this week.  The weekend is ahead, and next week will be a fun week because Joey is coming. We are going to see blogging friend Pamela, he will do my tax return, and we will have some good catchup time.  It's been nearly a year since I saw him.  He is back from the Middle East, praise God!

We are driving up to see Pamela because her son, Benton, and daughter-in-law, Rose, are going to refurbish my mom's Lane cedar chest (from 1948) so I can pass it on to my niece, Sara.  I am also buying one of their raised garden beds to bring home.  Fun!!

Peace and Hugs!

For the joy of human love,
Brother, sister, parent, child,
Friends on earth and friends above,
For all gentle thoughts and mild.
Lord of all, to Thee we raise,
This our hymn of grateful praise.

  1. I go through spells like that where I can't make a decision and have asked total strangers for theirs, Terri. The London Fog color is pretty. Have a fabulous Friday and weekend.

  2. The color looks good thru the screen, Terri! And- I ALWAYS do that with glasses--ask total strangers which ones look best and they invariably choose the same ones-not always my first pick. lol. Have a wonderful weekend. xo Diana

  3. I understand about decisions - one reason is - we have to live with them a long time - but I do like the color in the bathroom. Have a nice weekend of visitation!

  4. I love that color, Terri! Good idea, asking strangers for their unbiased opinion .... I'm going to remember that. Your new week sounds perfect; just the right mix of work and play! xo

  5. I think paint color and glasses are two of the hardest decisions! I drive Bob crazy when choosing paint. But it can look so different in your home, than in the store. I am still living with a color I never liked because I just chose it in the store, then it looked different on the wall. I really like your London Fog.
When I get new glasses, I take my sister Cheri with me. She's an optician so she knows what she's doing and I trust her judgement on how they look. I think you were pretty smart to ask the other people in the office.
It'll be so nice to see Pamela! And Benton's planters look like good ones.

  6. Yay!! We are looking forward to your visit next week so much! It will be fun fun fun! And the London Fog looks great!! And I am sure your new glasses will be perfect too! I know, it's always hard to make these decisions. With paint, if you don't like it, you can always paint over it. With glasses, you are usually stuck with them until next time. I'm sure you made the perfect choice! See you SOON!

  7. No, you're not off your rocker asking for advice. Nor does it mean one is weak. It's just nice to hear someone else's opinion. I do that all the time but make up my own mind too.
Hope your weekend is everything you expect it to be but even better. Have a great time!
    Blessings. 🍀

  8. The "London Fog" paint looks fantastic against the white crown molding. Excellent choice!

Had to chuckle at your indecision about new glasses frames and asking people in the waiting room. Now that's an idea! But it is an important decision to make, one we have to live with until the next time we need glasses. I tend to stress over that, too.
