Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 592
2. Hey! Did you know March is National Celery Month? Do you like celery? What's something you make (or like to order out) that calls for celery? I don't dislike celery, though it is not a favorite. I do like it with peanut butter for a snack. It is good in salads.
3. Picking paint colors and not making a decision is the soundtrack to my life right now. I think I have finally decided on "London Fog," though.
4. Share a favorite motivational quote for overcoming challenges. Worry is interest paid in advance for trouble that rarely comes. (Joe's favorite quote and one that I believe in.)
5. The Hodgepodge lands on Ash Wednesday this year. Do you participate in Lent in some way? If so, tell us more. Yes, but I prefer to keep it to myself. I will leave something out of my life this year. Last year, I did something extra.
6. Insert your own random thought here. My houseguest left yesterday. Their new HVAC unit is installed and working. Mali was anxious to get home, but I think she had as much fun as I did while she was here. It was nice getting to know her better. I am so blessed to have her and Danon as good friends. God is so good and works in our lives in so many ways.

I love that quote! It's so true.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got that time with Mali and happy for her that she's back home.
So did you skip number one or do you not like March lol? I'm glad you were able to help out a friend and I'm sure it was appreciated. London Fog is a nice shade. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI did skip it because I needed to think about it. I must not have pushed PUBLISH. Our spring starts in February so the first flowers are gone and so are the strawberries. St. Patrick's Day isn't remarkable in my world, and I don't like the time change. So I guess I just answered it!! LOL
DeleteYou've certainly had your share of guests recently Terri. I'm trying to picture London Fog lol. Although our feature panel in our living room is Green Smoke. Where do they get these names from?
ReplyDeleteI so love what Joe used to say - it's so very true!!! Blessings always, Terri!
ReplyDeleteI love a good salad, but never thought about adding celery. We don't often keep it around, but I hope to remember the next time I'm tempted to toss what isn't used.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding us of Joe's wise words. I need to copy and put that quote in my 'treasure box.'
Celery and peanut butter is a great snack, as long as the celery is crisp and not stringy! I also love it with cream cheese, and in soups and salads. Great quote, and yes, Lent is something between me and God, but sometimes what He is teaching me spills over to others, if I'm really paying attention. London Fog...hmmm, okay, must be gray? Or whitish gray? Or is it a lovely trench coat? Remember London Fog coats? I actually had a kelly green one when I met John. He complimented me on my coat when passing me by on the sidewalk at college one day before we met. He said, "Nice coat". I said, "Thanks, I'll let you wear it sometime." LOL. I guess I was a bit sassy. Not long after that we were introduced and the rest is history. He didn't quite fit into my London Fog coat, however. LOL. Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteRepeating Joe's favorite quote: "Worry is interest paid in advance for trouble that rarely comes." I'm not sure I've heard it put that way before but I know it to be true.
ReplyDeleteWorry is interest paid in advance for trouble that rarely comes - love that quote from Joe. You didn't answer number one - what do you like about March. Your paint color sounds good. I like celery - especially in like egg or chicken salad! Love, sandie
ReplyDeleteI answered #1 in the comments above.
DeleteI love your quote -- that is sooo good!! I have always heard that "worry steals tomorrow's joy" but Joe's saying really hits the nail on the head
ReplyDeleteI do love celery and peanut butter. I need to remember that more often when I'm hungry.
ReplyDeleteI like celery and peanut butter. I enjoyed your answers.
