Thanks to Annie for today's Tuesday 4. You can join in HERE!
Rainy Days and Mondays
My computer has been going up and down since Sunday so this is a bit late but I do hope you will join in anyway.
Welcome back. Toni Taddeo began this Tuesday 4 question and answer postings and I am continuing it in her honor..
It's been a bit rainy and stormy across the USA this spring and I have seen so many negative sentiments about Mondays. Karen Carpenter sang about rainy days and Mondays always getting her down. Can we discuss it?
1. How do you feel about rainy days? Do they make you happy or sad? Do they always get you down? I don't mind rainy days because we usually need the rain. It is inconvenient when it ruins your plans, though.
2. How about Monday. Do they get you down or do you think that just might be a habit of negative thinking? Mondays don't get me down but weekends do go much too fast when Monday means going to work.
3. Did you play in puddles as a kid? Or were you not the kind that liked getting wet and muddy? I don't remember playing in puddles but do remember making mud pies with my Kentucky cousins one time. We made a mess!! I've never minded getting wet or muddy. More of a tomboy than a girly girl.
4. Are there foods/meals that you find especially comforting on stormy days? Nosy people want to know!! Stormy in Florida usually means taking cover because of hurricanes and food, other than canned goods, would not be first in mind. LOL Cold wintery days - soups.

I like a rainy day when I can be inside looking out! However, I don't want your hurricane type of storm!
ReplyDeleteWeekends do go fast! But I don't mind Mondays either, I enjoy my job.
Your meme of you with the umbrella is so cute!
Yeah, the hurricane storms can just stay out to sea, but we do need rain badly. I love a rainy day when I can stay inside and watch what's happening outside and enjoy the coziness of being inside. And like you, yes, mud pies were fun. My sister and I made some great ones...LOL.
ReplyDeleteRainy days, especially when rain is needed, are most welcome, but I certainly do prefer to stay inside and take a nap if I can. The sound of rain is so soothing!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri!
I love rainy days when it's warm. And I'm thankful I don't live where there are hurricane and tornadoes. I'll take the snow here in eastern NY cause the last few years it's been minimal! And i LOVED the carpenters when I was a teen.
ReplyDeleteOh, you brought a great memory to mind.. our neighbors next door were very into the mud pie .. their dad built a playhouse designing it for just that. And he supplied everything imaginable! We were called the Mud Pie Gang! It must have been a good deal all around for we all had the most soft and lovely hands!
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to have a rainy day here at the moment. It's gotten so dry again. Maybe I should do a rain dance? lol Fun post. 💙
ReplyDeleteMud pies ... yessss! I'm chagrined to admit, one of the biggest draws (to me) about moving to Arizona was its lack of rainfall. THAT came back to bite me, big time. As long as it's not accompanied by severe wind, I'm good with the rain.
ReplyDeleteOh yes!! I remember making mud pies as well!!!
