The Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie for today's four questions!  You can join in HERE!

Wild Life

Tuesday 4 is here once again.

I was thinking about the wildlife that is all around us.  Summer brings us out of the house and we spend more time outdoors, weather permitting,  and have an opportunity to see animals and birds that live around us.

1. Do you see many animals where you live?  No.  Is your answer a good or bad thing?  My community is bordered by two very busy roads so it's a good thing there aren't too many animals here.  We see an occasional stray cat, squirrels, and rabbits now and then.  An opossum got hit by a car and died under my house.  You might remember me posting about the smell and how much it would cost to have someone go under to get it out ($600!!). I endured for three days.  Dogs are on leash and cats must be indoor cats here in Mas Verde.

2. What kind of animals and birds are around your area?  There aren't many birds here and the animals are mentioned above.

3. What kind of animals and birds could you do without and what kind would you love to see more often?  I see birds and wildlife when I am at work.  There are lovely places to venture out if you need to commune with animals and nature.  I don't need to see them daily.  I enjoy ALL animals and birds but I don't seek them out anymore.  I have my two cats in my house and get my dog fixes from friends who have pups.  That is good for me.  When I am out and about and get to see wildlife, I love it...

4. Do you feed wild birds or animals?  No.  I don't have a yard here and don't want birds making a mess around my car.  This is a manufactured home 55+ community with homes close together.  I've not seen any bird feeders anywhere.  People have flags and chimes.

(This is found elsewhere!!)

Peace and Hugs!!

Christ, our Lord, to you we raise
this, our hymn of grateful praise.

  1. If we lived closer I would have retrieved the 'possum for you. I'll accept payment of keto no sugar cookies in payment. *giggle* Really, it doesn't bother me to do such things.
I get that not wanting any mess around the home especially with neighbors so close. One must be kindhearted about one's neighbors. Apparently they are of like-mind too. That's wonderful. Flags and windchimes and things that twirl in the wind make me happy. I'm kinda a sucker for those all around the yard.
Here's hoping your day is great! 💙

  2. That's a really cute pic you created of you with the critters!
We have lots of wildlife around here - chipmunks, squirrels, opossums, bunnies and occasionally deer. They can be hard on the landscaping!

  4. Just download Bitmoji. I don't create them.

  5. I'm going to have to check out Bitmoji; I'd love to give it a try, Terri.
    Blessings!

  6. I think your sheltered community is perfect -- and you can commune with the wildlife whenever the mood strikes. Best of both worlds!
You do so good with Bitmoji, but the avatars I created didn't look anything like me. I may have to try, try again.

  7. Yes, nothing can ruin a car's finish like bird droppings!

  8. I love your avatar thing at the end! That is so cute. I don't know how you do that. You are very smart!! And yes, bird droppings can be a real pain. We no longer park our car under the oak trees because of that. Some of those birds just seem to love to sit up there and poop on our car, so we moved it. I'm glad you get to see some neat wildlife at work. I think I would enjoy working there! I'd probably have a hard time staying inside at my desk, however! LOL. I hope you have a lovely week. Still waiting for some more rain!!

  9. Pets do the trick for me... though there are plenty of paths outside if I feel the need for nature

  10. You do have the beautiful swans not so far from your neighborhood and they are a beautiful sight to see!

  12. People in our community may have indoor cats, but need special permission to have a dog. Unfortunately rules are not followed and it's not unusual to see a cat roaming about sometimes. And NOW there's a man who lives on the street right behind us who has gotten a dog. When he lets it outside to do its business he apparently lets it run without a leash, then he stands at the door and YELLS at the top of his lungs, "GET BACK HERE!!! GET BACK HERE NOW!!!!!" It sounds absolutely awful. I'm at the point where I'm about to go say something at the office. I don't want to be THAT neighbor, but seriously! I can hear him from inside my house!
