Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 539
1. What kind of thinker are you-doer (concrete thinking) analyst (analytical and abstract thinking), orator (logical thinking) inventor (imaginative thinking) or original thinker (creative)? What makes you say so? You can try this little quiz (link here) to help with your answer.
Here is how much you scored for every type:
Doer: 38%
Analyst: 13%
Orator: 63%
Inventor: 63%
Original Thinker: 50%
I'm not sure about the answers, but that was my result. My thought on the question, before I took the survey, was that I was a combination of them all and this result sort of shows that, doesn't it.
2. Do you own a crock pot, air fryer, and/or instapot? Do you leave said small appliance sitting out? How often do you use it/them? Favorite thing to make in one of these? I gave my sister my Instapot because I didn't use it more than once or twice. I use my crock pot often. It lives in the pantry until I need it. I do have a small air fryer and it does sit on the counter. I use the air fryer a few times a week and the crock a few times a month. I love making soups in the crock pot and anything frozen with breading works well in the air fryer, as well as French fries.
3. What's something you hold a strong opinion on that matters not at all in the grand scheme of things? Since I truly believe God is in control, none of my opinions matter much at all, except that I do believe God is in control.
4. Describe the view from your window. I don't have much of a view from any window because our homes are placed fairly close together (10 feet apart), but sitting in my recliner with the front door open, I can see beautiful sunsets over the rooftops down the street.
5. Do you have a favorite brand? Explain. I'm not really into brands but the first thing I thought of was Sketchers shoes. I have a big foot and it is not easy to find shoes that look nice. Sketchers work for me. I also like Birkenstocks.
6. Insert your own random thought here. I'm still purging and trying to reorganize my office/den/junk room/back room... whatever it should be called. I'm taking two huge bags of clothing and stuff to the Children's Home. They take anything and repurpose it or sell it. I have a huge box of shredding that I will take to the UPS store for shredding. It's too much for me to do. I have company coming the next three weekends so will put it on hold for awhile. Not going to worry about it. Small steps will get me there eventually.

I don't use my instantpot a lot but enough to hang on to it. I use my crock pots all the time. I'd like an air fryer but my kitchen is small so I hate the thought of another thing taking up space.
ReplyDeleteYes, God is in control and that's such a comfort!
I'm cleaning and purging too. I made another trip to our place in town that's kind of like a Good will yesterday.
Our crockpot gets quite a work out. Steve makes a Chicken Carnitas that is so good. Then he takes the chicken that is left over after the meal (there's always too much), shreds it, and makes this to-die-for Chicken Salad for sandwiches. I look forward to that every time. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to get rid of and/or organize also what we have for the past few months. This effort goes in spurts. It's a good feeling when I'm done.
Have a blessed Wednesday. xx
I've been doing a bit of a desk cleanout and agree it's often easier to just take a big box to shred at UPS. My younger daughter uses her air fryer a lot. She made pork chops in it when I was there and they were so good. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDelete"Christ, the royal Master,
ReplyDeleteleads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
see his banner go!"
Love that song! Oh, I love Skechers too, and that is all I ever wear, even to church! I have a pair of black leather flats that are skechers, and they are perfect with my slacks to wear. I probably need to find them in a light color for summer...I'm not following the rules of etiquette. I don't wear white after Memorial Day until Labor Day like I should! LOL. I don't like white shoes...I also have big feet, and white makes them look bigger. LOL
I don't have an insta pot, but I do have a crock pot, 2 actually, different sizes. I try to use them fairly often if I think about it early enough! LOL. I may have to take that little thinking quiz at the top and see how I do. I'll let you know if I do.
And yes, "God is in control" is all we really need to know about life! Have a blessed rest of your week!
Here's my results. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteHere is how much you scored for every type:
Doer: 88%
Analyst: 50%
Orator: 63%
Inventor: 75%
Original Thinker: 38%
I was catching up this morning. Like you I have thought it too cold this winter. I know it is all relative, but I am ready for full on spring. The past 2 days have been much nicer and I think tomorrow I might do a jig about the sun and temps. In much of my decluttering this Jan and Feb I got rid of many small appliances. We did not use them and I felt they would be sitting there for someone to take once I had to move. I use my crockpot and air fryer/toaster oven the most. The other items were just gadgets bought and never really used. I think doer, analyst, and original thinker would get my largest percentages.
ReplyDeleteI love my Skechers and won't wear any other shoe. Other than that, as long as it's not made in China, I'll take it!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri!
Your answer to #3 is perfect, Terri! I normally wear Brooks and have never even tried on a pair of Sketchers -- but based on your and others' reviews, that may be my next pair of new shoes.
ReplyDeleteOooo I forgot about Sketchers when doing mine. I love them, especially for walking. Yes small steps will get your room done Terri. I need to tackle our garage - it was tidy and organised when we first moved in but it's gradually getting out of control lol
ReplyDeleteTerri, I enjoyed your answers here. Regarding the kitchen appliances, I have them all and don't use any of them much anymore except the air fryer, which is Gary's "go-to" appliance. As for purging, I am reminded of something I read a few years ago regarding weigh loss. It said if we eliminate just 100 calories from our usual daily intake, we [slowly] lose weight. I have proven that to be true. I think a similar principle can be applied to purging. You always make progress, no matter how much you get done in a day.
ReplyDeleteI've never owned a pair of Sketchers but I love Birkenstocks!! It sounds like you are making great progress on your room . . .slow and steady!
