Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 537
2. What's something you loved to do as a child? Read Nancy Drew books!
3. Something you learned from a grandparent? My Grandpa James let me make doll house furniture with his wood scraps, in his workshop. I was 9 or 10ish.
4. The most visited cities in the world last year (according to this site) were-Bangkok, Paris, London, Dubai, and Singapore. Have you been to any of the cities mentioned? No. Which would you most like to see? None are in Scotland or Ireland, so none of those listed. How do you feel about international travel in general these days? I am content to stay in the good old USA these days.
5. February is the perfect month to start purging and getting a head start on Spring cleaning. See #1, however...
6. Insert your own random thought here. I watched two really good movies last night, on Netflix. Queen Bees was first and A Man Named Otto second. So glad I finally saw them. (I read the book, Otto, and saw the foreign version of the movie many years ago. I like the new version best.)

Nancy Drew books were always a favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love the memory of making a doll house.
I watched A Man Called Otto a few months ago after reading the book and really liked it too.
I still haven't watched the Otto movie. I loved the book! I know I have a set of Nancy Drew books somewhere in my attic. I'm tempted to pull them out and reread as I've seen them mentioned a few times lately and I'd like to revisit. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see those movies. I read the book that Tom Hanks is the star in too. Enjoy your day! Feels like spring, doesn't it!
ReplyDeleteMotivation ... yesssss, please.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed "Otto"! (But then, I like anything in which Tom Hanks appears.) Queen Bees is right up there on my 'to be watched' list.
That was such a sweet memory about the doll house.
ReplyDeleteI read every single Nancy Drew book they had too!
Motivation? What's that? lol
ReplyDeleteI still have many of my Nancy Drew books. Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys was my fav. read.
We've been getting rid of a lot of "junk" at our place too. I have way too much stuff. Time to cut back and not replace it. I did reorganize my sewing & craft area. That felt good.
It's chilly but it's lookin' like Spring is right around the corner ...
Blessings. xx
and I will throw in the Hardy Boys as well... of course my brother got those and girls such as myself Nancy Drew... Wow, we have come a long way baby!! :)
ReplyDeleteI had a few of the Hardy Boys books, too, and liked them on TV when an episode would play on The Mickey Mouse Club. I had 52 ND books in my collection, which was passed down to my two younger sisters and are long gone now. :(
Delete"All our sins and griefs to bear...what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer..." I am trying to get some things done a little at a time. My body tells me when I've done too much, like vacuuming the whole house yesterday...yikes, what was I thinking? I was tired of seeing the little dust balls rolling around under the tables...in some ways I do miss having carpet...we never knew when it was so dusty! LOL. I got our taxes done today...that was something!! Hope you have a blessed rest of your week!! One day at a time.
