Hello dear friends!
It sure felt good to sleep in on Saturday!! The cats didn't even bother me for their breakfast! I made MY breakfast and the house smelled so good. Chopped peppers and onions sauteed until soft then scrambled eggs mixed in. I've been enjoying Keto tortillas (zero carbs) so had two of those as well (3-inch street taco size). Coffee, of course. The cats got their breakfast as well (Fancy Feast).
I ignore my bathroom most of the time, wiping down now and then but not really deep cleaning so got some of that done. Sorry if that's TMI. It really doesn't get that dirty now with just me using it! I also used the little carpet cleaner I have in the guest room. My guest rooms have WHITE carpets in them. I have hated it since we moved in, but they were new and looked nice. Now, after six years and sick cats who liked the guest rooms as sick rooms, they have become hard to clean. Even the professional cleaning company I use can't make them look nice anymore. The carpet will go as soon as I can make that happen. At least they look a little better. One of the cleaning products I used previously turned the carpet grayish in places. Clean but ugly.
Y'all know I watch too much TV. I blame my sister for getting me hooked on Night Agent, found on Netflix. I am also streaming Poker Face on Peacock. I finished all of the episodes of Homestead Rescue and miss it already. I like the Raney family. Yesterday, I streamed through several episodes of The Chosen, season three. So well done. Brokenwood (Acorn) has a new season, too.
I went to Sunday school and church. Yesterday was our last Sunday school until mid-August. I can sleep an extra hour on Sundays this summer but I will miss our study of Genesis and my friends in the class. We will pick up chapter 22 when we get back to it.
I went to Publix after church for a few things I couldn't get at Sam's Club on Friday. I've mentioned my 'new' friend, Suzette, before. She left Lakeland a couple of months ago to go back to her northern home. Imagine my surprise when she was right in front of me, in the frozen food section. I was looking for Brussels sprouts and she was looking for Stauffer's stuffed peppers. We both squealed and hugged right there in front of everyone! She is back for her grandson's graduation. We have already scheduled lunch for Memorial Day and Wendy is joining us at Ovation Bistro. Yay!
I see my cardiologist after work today. Just my 6-month check-up with him. Wishing you all a great week ahead!!
Nice to get a lie in for a change. Hope the cardiologist visit goes well. My DIL recommended Night Agent to me but I haven't got around to it yet. I just finished The Diplomat on Netflix which I enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteI've never had white carpeting...my furrbabies would love it too much! lol
ReplyDeleteGood report at your Dr visit!
hugs
Donna
I glad you got some rest. I look forward to sleeping in a bit. Not this week , but the next. I know what you mean about the carpet. I just got the last of it up and I don't miss it one bit. I don't have many rugs either. I didn't put one in the bedroom, because little pets always find those. Have a good Monday.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was our last Sunday school till the end of summer too. I'll miss the study, but will also enjoy that extra hour in the morning.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to run into your friend!
Praying your appt goes well!
Your breakfast sounds wonderful; I'm going to do that, too -- change things up a bit! For as long as we've had dogs, I don't know what it's like to sleep in. They're worth it, tho.
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast sounds good and getting to sleep in is always a good thing! How fun to run into a friend in the store and get to make plans to go to lunch. Hope all is well at your doctor visit this afternoon. Hope you have a really wonderful day, Terri.
ReplyDeleteOH my, white carpet wouldn't last a month here with all the dirt around us...dirt/sand driveway, etc. We try to drop our shoes at the door, but that doesn't always happen so that is why we got rid of the majority of our carpet. Now I am learning how to fight dust bunnies. There's no easy solution. Bathrooms are another story. I have three of them. Not my favorite place to clean either. And ours need cleaning regularly because there are more people using them. That's why when you last post asked what we'd like to have I said a housekeeper (that can cook)! LOL. So happy you ran into your friend and that you will be getting together soon and also with other friends. That makes life more fun. Today is the last day for our weekly Bible Studies until September. But I think we keep going through the summer with our Sunday School class, unless the teacher decides he needs a break (my hubby). I hope your Dr. appt. goes well today. I am sure it will. Take care and have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteTerri: We had off white in our last home now wood floors, so easy to clean, the two dogs and a cat would have made a mess of the carpeting.
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning bathrooms but do so every week, what a thrill it was for you to see your friend.
Have a great week.
Catherine
I had light grey carpet... same deal with the cats... Once upon a time I loved it. :)
ReplyDeleteWhite carpets - oh no.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your list of tv shows. I am always looking for good ones and I like your taste.
Good luck at the doctor.
I like your recap day. So glad you're eating Keto 'cause you're special and need to live a long time. Giving up sugar/carb's is always a good thing. God bless ya. Have a great week my friend! xx
ReplyDeleteWe found out the hard way that cats and carpet do not mix, Terri. Maybe, you could replace them with some kind of laminate flooring?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I want to replace the floors in the entire house so that it is the same throughout. There are 7 different floorings in my house and it makes me nuts. I want to do a luxury vinyl.
DeleteI chuckled when you said that your cats let you sleep in!!
