Whimsical Fashion Review 2022...

There isn't a linky and there aren't any rules.
Check out the dress and pick the shoes you like best for Carol!
This is all in fun and just a whimsical thing!

I have always loved Carol Burnett and polka dots are back in style (at least I see lots of them in the stores and catalogs).  Her 89th birthday was this week, on the 26th. Count down 1-2-3 and tell us which shoes you like best for her outfit.

My thoughts:  Well, I think #2 is the cutest.  I think #3 is the most stylish.  But I think Carol would agree with me that pair #1 is the most comfortable! What do you think?

PS:  Speaking of Carol Burnett, I finished the book Kelly Conway wrote about her dad, Tim Conway. It started out being interesting and funny, but about halfway through, it turned sour.  Family feuding over Tim's care when he got sick took over the book and it seemed like Kelly was protesting too much and was trying to settle an old feud with her book.  I was disappointed.  Have any of you read it?

  1. I will take three as it matches more of that period as I recall... I can't imagine wearing two. :)

  2. I'll choose the comfy #1 too. I haven't read this book but it would be a disappointment!

  3. Love Carol AND polka dots! I've never tried wearing a 'backless' shoe, but would give #2 my best shot. I'm sorry that book was a disappointment.

  4. I think she'd go for #2 but I'm #1 all the way.

  5. 2, 2, 2, lololol. I so could wear 2 and I have shoes like that...but I agree, 1. LOL. See you Saturday, smiles.

  6. Too bad 1 didn't have polka dots! Maybe add a polka dot bow!

  7. I like #2 for the polka dots!

  8. I like number 2 as well. I have not read that book, but I would have thought he would have been a great dad.

    1. He was a great dad but the step-mom became the problem (and Kelly contributed).

  9. I'm for shoe #3 today. I haven't read that book, but it's on my (ever growing) want-to-read list.

  10. I'm going with #1, too, Terri. I've always loved Carol Burnett, and I can't believe she's just turned 89. Wow! I did read her memoir (think it's called This Time Together), and that was full of happy memories. Don't think the tone of the book regarding Tim Conway would appeal in the least.
    Blessings!

  11. I'm going with shoe #2 because it just looks fun.

As for the Kelly Conway book, I did not know about it until reading what you have to say here. I'm sorry things didn't go so well -- but at the same time, it is helpful to read about the experiences of others, both good and bad. I've been hit with unexpected "stuff" (and I'll leave it at that) that I'm now learning is just not that unusual for many, many people. Finding out these things are not unusual is a measure of help. Observing how people deal with adversity is also a lesson with the hopes some of us can avoid the pitfalls.

  12. I'm in agreement - I like #2, but could wear #1!
I liked Tim Conway too but am sad to hear about the family feud.

  13. I think #2 looks best with the outfit, but #3 is so pretty. But for me? It would have to be #1 for comfort. That's a book I would have bought, too bad it didn't end well.

  14. I like 3 but yes 1 looks the most comfy. Carol would look adorable in any of them with that dress.
