Your Life
Easter and Passover are coming quickly. Both are about life, so let's talk about life this week.
1. Is your life different this year? If so, how and what has changed? Not exactly sure what "different" means but since January my life has been pretty much the same as it was for the last six months of last year. Working part-time and getting along as a widow/single person. Still blessed and still doing okay.
2. Are you satisfied with your spiritual life or could it be better? What do/will you do to make it better? My faith is strong but I am human. Of course, it could be better. I fail miserably in so many ways but crave our Father's mercy and forgiveness. I soldier on and do my best.
3. What are you busy with today? Working in the morning and running errands after work, including a trip to see Helen. I need to bake a birthday cake for our small group meeting tomorrow. Will this matter in 1 year? 3 years? 5 years? The memories will matter to me if not to anyone else. I try to be a blessing to at least one person each day. Doesn't always work but I still try.
4. Do you serve others in life? How do you do that? See my #3 answer. When Joe was alive, I served him daily and he returned the love to me. I miss that and I miss him. I am serving Helen, even though she doesn't know about what I do. Blessings given and blessings received. God is good.

Yes, what you do matters a lot. It matters to us here in blogland! It matters to your friends, your co-workers, and your neighbors and family. And especially to Helen right now. You have helped to make sure that she has a safe and comfortable place to spend the last days of her life. You make sure that she has everything she needs. Even if it doesn't appear that she knows what's going on right now, I think she does know. She can relax and not worry about who's going to take care of her each day...and that has given her a lot of peace. You are a blessing to so many! Thank you for being here, "My Friend From Florida".
ReplyDeleteLife is a lot different this year being retired but the same in the things that matter the most ,kids, grandchildren, church family. We had our small group last night . It’s theme is Growing in Christ and it’s nice to always be learning and growing.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a huge blessing to Helen and love reaches deep beyond what our human eyes can see. I’m sure she feels your love and Gods love through your caring for her
Our youngest son just got an air fryer. He wants to get together and try it out so that’s on the agenda sometime today
It looks like we had more rain but it’s nice outside not too cold. The birds are singing
Have a great day.
I totally get what you're saying, smiles. AND to answer your thought; we will meet up soon and no need to treat us -lol. I hope you have a beautiful day, Terri.
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration to those of us in Blogland ... a blessing, as well!
ReplyDeleteYou are a blessing to so many people Terri and so supportive to your blogland friends.
ReplyDelete1. Yes, my life is different and happier than last year at this time. A new love has brightened things for me considerably.
ReplyDelete2. My spiritual life could always be better and I do the best I can to keep it meaningful. I fail just like everybody else. Thank God for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ Who paid the price for all of my sins, past, present, and future.
3. I like your reply to #3 where you said you try to be a blessing to at least one person each day. What a wonderful aspiration! (and for the record, Terri, you bless me with every blog post).
4. The Lord sees everything we do and He most surely takes note of all the good that is not seen by others.
