The Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie for today's questions!  You can join in HERE!

Tuesday 4

Book and Movies and TV

Welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.  Just 4 questions to make you think, react and get to know your fellow bloggers who are probably way nicer than you can imagine and more interesting than we realize!

 1. Which is better... the book or the movie?  99% - the book

2. Got a reading list for the year?  (Or a movie list ) Found a real winner you will share with us?  I can share a disappointment. I finally finished the Outlander book 9.  SO DISAPPOINTED.  My fascination with Outlander is over. Sad.

3. What TV shows are you watching lately?  I have been streaming Chateau DIY (still), I also found Monk, and am enjoying it. I never watched it before.  Loving Tony Shalhoub. Catching a few of the old Finding Your Roots episodes on PBS.

4. Is there an actor or actress whose movies you consistently enjoy?  Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy, Queen Latifah, Nicole Kidman...

----------------------------------------------------------

On a sad note and to document it...
Joe's older brother, Lou, died yesterday.
Thinking about the great reunion they are having in Heaven.
Nick (youngest, died in 2020)
Lou (oldest, died in 2022)
Joe (middle son, died in 2021)
Three brothers (all amazing men and believers), gone in three years.

------------------------------------

On a happier note, today is my son, Joey's birthday!!
And I am NOT headed for cataract surgery just yet.
The eye doc says my eyes are way too dry and he believes that
is what is causing my problems.  My eyes changed a little, so I
did order new glasses but am trying the dry-eye drops to see if that helps!

-------------------------------------------------------
Peace & hugs.
God's love is steadfast & unchanging.

  1. That is so sad...losing all of these special men. We get older and see so many people die that are our age or a little older. It's been especially hard these last few years. I still pray for you after losing Joe. Glad you got the eye drops and I hope they help A LOT! Hugs!

  2. Happy Birthday to Joey! Those smiles on the D'Orsaneo 'boys' are something, aren't they? Yes, I'm sure theirs was a grand reunion. Please let us know if the new eyedrops help; Tom's supposed to use Systane regularly, but of course he doesn't.

  5. So sorry for your loss but what a wonderful heavenly reunion. Someday in Heaven I can only imagine the joys.
    Happy Birthday to Joey!
I bet the dry eye drops help. I have trouble with dry eyes too and use them.
I read the book Unbroken by Laura Hildenbrand. I could hardly put the book down I may have her name spelled wrong; the movies were pretty good but I had to look away it was too hard to watch the horrible things in the prison camp part. The survival was a miracle the forgiveness was a miracle

  6. You are right about books being better than movies, almost always.
Cheryl is right - Unbroken is such a good book!
    Happy Birthday to Joey.
Sorry for the loss of Joe's brother, but you are right about that reunion in heaven.
3 D'Orsaneo boys? I can hear that laughter!

  7. My sympathies on the loss of your BIL. So sad that all three left this world so quickly, but like you said...what a reunion is going on in heaven! And yes, the book is almost always better.
