Thankful Thursday....
It's Thursday and time to link up with Rebecca Jo at Knit by God's Hand for Thankful Thursday....
When I start thinking of making a list of things I am thankful for, it gets overwhelming. I am so blessed and have so much to be thankful for.
Joe has been a trooper through his botched tooth removal, even though he is still in pain and that awful hematoma is still purple and nasty.
I am thankful that we had a good meeting at the Lakeland Funeral Home and got our final arrangements made and paid for. Big relief for both of us as it is something we have wanted to get done for awhile now. Done and done. Now we will be even more greatly blessed if we don't have to use them for years and years to come!
Low carb/no sugar diets really work. I've lost 18 pounds and Joe has lot 13. It's not hard at all and we are determined to stick to it as we travel north! The only exceptions will be at the corn festival (have to have an ear of corn) and for Joe's birthday (have to have a piece of cake).
We are thankful that we have a cat-sitter who we like and trust with our fur-babies and with our home. Mary Jane is a blessing!! (We are sitting for our old neighbor's cats this weekend. Mary Jane is Ginny's sister.)
I am thankful for my blogging friends who I know I can count on for prayers as we travel north and then back home again over the next couple of weeks. Thank you!
Wishing you all blessings on this Thankful Thursday! Peace & hugs!

Happy Trails, Terri. Wish Joe a happy birthday for us, too.
ReplyDeleteHave fun and stay safe. Hey, we all need cake on our birthday. Congrats on the weight loss.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to both of you on your weight loss. I am having a hard time with mine. I have lost 20 but am now stuck. My hubby just lost more and had to go buy new clothes. Grr!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Congrats on the weight loss, Terri...and I am thankful for you, smiles.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to read that Joe is still on the mend. I don't think the Phillies are going to disappoint Joe, judging from their win-loss record and their place in the standings. Being a long time Red Sox fan I know from experience that there is still plenty of time for them to tank.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week.
I almost got teary eyed myself with you saying you get overwhelmed thinking of the blessings... that's what its all about - stopping to remember them. We overlook them so easily.
ReplyDeleteWow! Way to go on the weight loss! You are doing an amazing job at that diet!!! You might end up passing me by.
ReplyDeleteBe safe and have a wonderful time on your trip!
I so enjoy your thankful posts. So glad your hubby is doing better. And, 18 pounds...you go, Girl!! That's awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great example you are, Terri.
ReplyDelete... and what fun y'all will have shopping for new, smaller clothes. :)
Good for you and Joe on the weight loss! I'm impressed and proud of you!
ReplyDeleteYou might end up passing me by.
