Weekend Recap on Monday.....

As always, the weekend flew by.  It was nothing special.  Friday night we went out for fish at Fish City Grill.  Lakeside Village is only five minutes away from our new home and it's our favorite place to shop and eat.  I had catfish and shrimp. Joe just had catfish. We both had a cup of clam chowder too (which wasn't that good),

Saturday morning, I started unpacking boxes again. When I needed a break, we decided to take a ride for awhile. I needed gas in the car and there were some things on the Sam's Club list.  Gasoline was the lowest in town, at $2.17 so we filled up first, then did our shopping.

Back at home, I hit the boxes again.  We are down to the breakables and collectibles that we moved and packed ourselves. It seems like a lot are left, but they are smaller and are packed with lots of bubble wrap and newspaper. I've left room in cupboards for some of it.  Some of it will be displayed on the new shelves and some of it may find it's way to a thrift store....

Sunday was laundry day (always, at least until I retire). Got it done, folded and put away.

We will be watching the basketball final tonight.  The final four games were really good.  Joe says he hopes Gonzaga wins it since they have never even been in the final four before and NC has won several times (or more). He always roots for the underdog when "his" team (Villanova) isn't playing.

Back to work today.  Time to wrestle with next year's budget....the one I won't be there to work with.  It's still my job, though!

Thanks for your visit!! Wishing you a blessed week ahead.  Peace & hugs.

  2. You are closing in on those boxes Terri!! And isn't it fun to think that you might be wrestling with that budget now but soon it will not be your problem as you enjoy retirement. I can tell you and Joe are going to have a ball.

  4. I'm still in the middle of purging the attic but I'm over halfway finished so , YAY! I have boxes out here that have to go to Reni and Evan's house for the yard sale this weekend. I'm betting those boxes are still sitting right there next week, though since no one is interested in hauling them over to their house. What ever happened to teamwork???? Sheesh. :)

  5. I guess when you move, it seems like the packing and unpacking seems endless, but it wont be too long now til it is all over. Tell Joe, I am going to watch that game too, but am an old NC fan since Michael Jordan went there and I have followed him for all his career! lol (P.S. I am usually for the underdog too, in most cases)

  8. We're rooting for our neighbor Carolina : ) You're doing great with getting things organized and feeling at home. We're making progress on some of our to-dos. I am enjoying it though. It's hard to peel myself away from the deck and actually get stuff done-ha!

  9. I'm not that 'into' basketball, but it's pretty exciting having the Final Four here! Rooting for the 'little guy' Gonzaga, as well. ('Except I keep calling them Gorgonzola. Oops!)
