My Monday was quiet. My sister and hubby left around 9:00 a.m. We had a good breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, and cinnamon rolls before they hit the road. I did hear from her that they arrived home safely, praise God!
I got the laundry done, vacuumed and dusted a bit. Since Monday is trash day, I cleaned out the refrigerator of the little bits and pieces of leftovers that I know we wouldn't eat.
Back to work today. I could have used another day, but August 1st is coming!! (The first day of my retirement...August 1st!!)

I'm amazed you managed to get this written and posted and are off to work already today! You must be feeling better! And yes...August 1st will be a great day for you...it will seem surreal at first...you'll keep thinking you need to get up and go...but it doesn't take long to get into the new routine of ??????Whatever you WANT to do! However, I'll warn you...you'll find out that you will still be very busy and will wonder how you ever worked before!!! Have a blessed and good day at work. Don't overdo it! Just go with the flow!

ReplyDeleteThe time between now and August 1 will fly by. You'll see. Spring and summer always go fast. I need to clean out our leftovers. I've already used the leftover ham and potatoes.

Just been doing the rounds and catching up with your posts Terri. So glad your sister and hubby were able to come for Easter but sorry to hear Joe is unwell. I hope he's feeling better and that you are feeling more like yourself again. All your Easter food sounded yummy. Payroll is such a responsibility. I once worked for a charity and was responsible for the payroll it was a heavy weight to carry. 1st August will soon be here.
