A shout out to Sam Winters to say thanks for this week's Saturday 9! Visit HERE and join in for this link-up Q & A.
Work from Home
Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Saturday 9: Work from Home (2016)
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) This song is about a woman who doesn't get to see her lover often enough because he's on the night shift. Have you ever worked nights?
I worked nights in the summers 2 years during high school, when I had a job at the Ice Cream Factory. We didn't close until 10:00 p.m.
2) She promises that if he takes the day off, she'll make it feel like a vacation. Have you traveled anywhere fun so far this year? Do you have any leisure trips planned for 2017?

We have fun wherever we go. No long trips so far this year, but we will go to Pittsburgh for a wedding in May.
3) The ladies of Fifth Harmony are enthusiastic supporters of the Girl Scouts, rewarding troops who excel in fundraising activities with free concerts. The Scouts' best-known fundraiser is their cookie sale. What's your favorite cookie (Girl Scout or otherwise)?

My favorite Girl Scout cookie is the Thin Mint. I love my own chocolate chip cookies but rarely make them....because I love them. LOL
4) Fifth Harmony also participated in Goodwill's Fall Haul campaign. They encouraged high school students donate as many items as possible to Goodwill, and the winning school got a free concert. When did you last take gently-used items to a resale organization?

Three times in the last two months!! Helping Hands, Salvation Army, and Talbot House.
5) Do you ever shop second-hand or thrift stores?
5) Do you ever shop second-hand or thrift stores?
Yes. My two sisters LOVE it so I usually go with them when they visit, but we also shop one of the local furniture consignment stores with good luck.
6) Fifth Harmony member Normani Kordei competes on Dancing with the Stars this season. Would you do better on DWTS or The Voice? In other words, are you a better singer or dancer?
Had you asked me this question 20 years ago, it would be a toss-up. I loved to dance but my knees are so bad now I can walk a few blocks, but it hurts. I loved to sing and wasn't half bad (made all-county chorus in high school, singing alto and second tenor). My vocal chords took a beating when my thyroid was removed (thyroid cancer). It took three or four months for me to gain back a higher register, but I don't sing so well anymore. Maybe I could sing bass now.
7) In February 2016, when this song was first released, The Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl and Spotlight won the Best Picture Oscar. Can you recall who won the 2017 Super Bowl and Best Picture Oscar, just two months ago?
No. We didn't care who won the Super Bowl (it wasn't the Eagles) and I never watch (or care about) the Oscars.

8) 2016's most popular TV show was Game of Thrones. Are you a fan?
We watch a lot of TV, but have never seen Game of Thrones.
9) Random Question: What's the subject line of the newest message in your email spam folder?
Overnight Cinnamon Roll Casserole
(Don't ask me why that went to Spam because I would have looked at anything cinnamon!!)
Thanks so much for joining us again at Saturday: 9. As always, feel free to come back, see who has participated and comment on their posts. In fact sometimes, if you want to read & comment on everyone's responses, you might want to check back again tomorrow. But it is not a rule. We haven’t any rules here. Join us on next Saturday for another version of Saturday: 9, "Just A Silly Meme on a Saturday!" Enjoy your weekend!
Happy Saturday!! Thanks for your visit! Peace & hugs.

Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteMmm cinnamon.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I am currently trying to get rid of a lot of things I have been holding on to for unfathomable reasons Terri. I am having to be stern with myself. And that cinnamon casserole. You might need to post that recipe.:)
ReplyDeleteI'd probably bake that cinnamon casserole just to make our home smell divine. LOL.
ReplyDeleteChuckling about your answer ('bass') to #6. I loved the time I spent singing (alto) with our high-school chorus.
Have a great day!
I love cinnamon (and thin mints)too!
ReplyDeleteI would never survive on DWTS. I have no rhythm or any moves!
