Linking up with Rebecca Jo, over at Knit by God's Hand, for Thankful Thursday!
* Thankful that I had yesterday off from work so I could be at the new house for the inspection. The inspector, Rick, was great.
* Thankful that the people who purchased and set-up the new house back in 2002 had the foresight to do strong hurricane anchors and stabilizers. The inspector was impressed.
* Thankful that the AC/Heat, the dishwasher, the refrigerator, the stove, and microwave all worked and that we had hot water. All the toilets flushed and all the faucets worked without leaks!
* Thankful that the inspector found a leak in the roof that has caused some damage that needs to be addressed. We have alerted the property manager to inform the seller and we are hoping he agrees to doing the repairs. Like she said...he will have to do the repairs anyway, for any other buyer, so he might as well do it now. Fingers crossed. We are already putting a roof on this house (sharing the cost).
This move is beginning to get very expensive. Praying, praying, praying.
That's all I have for now. Thanks for your visit!! Peace & hugs.

Glad you had so many very positive things yesterday at the new house when the inspector was there. Praying about that place in the roof that needs taken care of.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in prayer....
ReplyDeleteI'm glad there were a lot of good things at the inspection. Hoping that the roof issue gets taken care of quickly.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
So glad your inspection went well Terri. Like you said, he will have to do them anyway so hopefully he will cooperate.
ReplyDeleteFeeling your pain....we had to re-roof our last house during the selling process. Such a messy (AND LOUD LOUD LOUD) procedure, but all good when it was done.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the inspection went well!
Such a good post. Glad the inspection went so well. You will be moved in before you know it.
ReplyDeletePraying all goes well for you and Joe!! Expensive..that can be a scary word.
ReplyDeleteGlad everything is going fairly smoothly so far.
ReplyDeleteHoping that leak repair gets taken care of quickly for you.
Thanks for linking up with me again!!
Glad things went well with the inspection. Hoping you get everything all worked out soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's always something. 😕 Hope things work out in your favor!
ReplyDeleteI remember all our moves. They where expensive too. It seems like everyone, including the government, has their hands out for whatever. Well, it'll soon be over and y'all will be all cozy and content in the new, dry home. Prayers for an easy transition, not only physically but financially. ~:)
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely blog and your background is so pretty! I pray that everything goes well for you in 2017...and always! Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada. :)
ReplyDeleteThankful for you keeping us in the loop, Terri.
ReplyDeleteEven inland, I'm reassured your having a new, sound roof over your heads!
Well, I guess we should have known something would come up. It was going just a bit too smoothly. That's me channeling my inner Eeyore. LOL It'll be fine! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the inspection went well and pray the owner will repair the roof. I like the gif. I love that you are positive and thankful. Moving is full of challenges.
ReplyDeleteHooray for passed inspections! All the stuff leading up to moving can be so stressful. Praying along with you for financial favor.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are doing the inspections...it will "pay off" in the long run. I know this is a busy time for you...try to pace yourself and allow time for rest and relaxing whenever you can. Praying for you as you go through all of this. God is with you...never forget that!
ReplyDeleteAll in all that was a good inspection! I hope the sellers take care of that roof. These kind of things always end up costing more than planned...
ReplyDeleteShame about the leak but good to find it before buying and hopefully it will get fixed before you move in.
