Tuesday Tidbits....

There isn't much new to report today on this Tuesday.  We here in central Florida have had to deal with high winds and heavy rain these past two days.  Fortunately, we did not have tornadoes like the folks up in Georgia suffered through.  Adel, Georgia was in the national news because of the severe damage and the dozen or so deaths. Adel is only 15 miles from my sister's house, where we are headed this weekend. Kind of scary.

Joe picked up some smaller boxes at Lowe's so we both worked on packing some last night. I'll be able to finish the dining room tonight. Then on to the guest room. The garage sale pile is growing, and that's a good thing.

The roofers were not out doing bids on the new house yesterday because of the high winds.  Sure hope they are able to do it today so we can get moving on getting the new house into our possession!

Temporary inconvenience for permanent improvement!!  The key word is temporary!!

Thanks for your visit!  Peace & hugs.

  1. I feel for all those who lives were lost, homes lost etc...we personally lost a lot when a EF 5 tornado hit Tuscaloosa, AL a few years back. Which is a reason why (another reason) we made the ultimate decision to move to the winter wonderland. As you know, my family still lives in Ocala, and I grew up there... survived many tornadoes and hurricanes. Been there, done that, not doing it again. Just saying.

Keeping all in prayer. I am really looking forward to hearing more of your move/adventure(s), Terri.

  2. We were so sad to hear about the deaths in Georgia. One of our friends has a son who lives in Douglas Ga not far from there. I am having a roofer come today to do a repair. Hopefully that will fix things. We had a lot of wind and rain here as well.

  5. We had the high winds, rain + flooding yesterday too. Our yard looks like a lake this morning. It just started raining again. Ugh
Hope you get your roof bids today.
    Have a great day!

  8. A lot of bad weather in the Southeast...so sad to see so much devastation. Looks like it's 2 steps forward and 1 step backward in the move...good thing is, you're still moving forward! Hope you have a great day.

  9. Hope the weather is ok when you visit and that you get your quotes done. We had a lovely sunny but cold day here today. Much better than yesterday when we had fog for half the day!

  10. Those storms came over our area but we weren't hit as bad as Adel and Douglas. Those poor people got slammed! Our home county of Pierce is getting together supplies and donations to be taken to Adel, etc. on Thursday. I'll betchya those trailers will be loaded to the brim. Prayers for all those that suffered through this devastation. Y'all be safe. Hope the packing is still going well. ~:)

  12. God's timing is always perfect, so don't fret over delays...there's always a good reason. So glad you weren't in the serious storm zone. We had tornado warnings but they passed over us, thank the Lord. Still had high winds and rain, and now it is much cooler...so lovely! Take time to rest while packing. Rome wasn't built in a day....or something like that. LOL. Praying for you.

  13. There's little that scares me as much as a tornado. (For that matter, even the threat of a tornado.) Do your sis and BIL have a basement/safe room, I hope?

Have to agree with Pamela, God's timing is ALWAYS perfect.

    1. No, they don't have a basement. Only an inside closet with no windows. Same for us here and will be at the new house. Bathtubs....
