Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 293
Hello Hodgepodgers and welcome back! Not sure if I'm coming or going this month (mostly both!) but I'm here today with this week's questions. Answer on your own blog, then fly back here tomorrow to add your link to the party. Here we go-
1. ASAP typically stands for 'as soon as possible. What else could it stand for in your life right now? Ha! How about As Slowly As Possible because that's how our sorting and packing projects are going! Gotta kick it into gear!
2. Are you the last person to speak up in a group or the first to have an idea? Depends on where, when, and what. Why do you suppose that is? I know where my strengths and weaknesses are and am happy to rely on others if it is a weak area for me. Is it a good thing or no? I hope it's a good thing!
3. What do you remember best about being 12? I discovered The Rolling Stones and the Beatles. Loved the Stones...wasn't that into the Beatles.
4. January 18th is National Winnie the Pooh Day. Which character do you relate to the most, and why? The Quiz says I'm Owl. I am not that familiar with Winnie the Pooh. If you're stumped go here for inspiration. Thanks for the quiz, or I would not have know how to answer this one!
5. What's an app you use that helps simplify or make life easier for you in some way? Waze when we are on the road. Gives us gas info, traffic info, alternate routes, etc.
6. San Francisco (CA), San Diego (CA), San Juan (PR) San Antonio (TX) Sanibel (FL)...you have an all expenses paid long weekend to one of these destinations. Which one do you choose and why? San Juan, I guess. I've been to Sanibel, have no interest in California and there are other places I'd rather go in Texas than San Antonio (like Waco and Dallas).
7. Share with us a song that makes you feel nostalgic? In A Godda Da Vita For what? That's the first song I ever danced to under strobe lights. It always brings back a carefree time in life and makes me want to dance under strobe lights again! 1968.... Does anyone else remember Iron Butterfly? I was too young to drink, so no alcohol was involved! Awesome drum solo!!
8. Insert your own random thought here. I have the day off because we have the inspection of our new home today. I wanted to be there too. Joe could handle it, but sometimes he doesn't always hear properly (because he doesn't wear his hearing aid!). I thought it best to add my ears to his....AND I just wanted to go inside the house again!
Thanks for your visit today! Peace & hugs!
Thanks for your visit today! Peace & hugs!

I had to play the clip because I love In a Godda da Vida! How exciting to go through your new house again. I'd be like you wanting to see it again and be there for the inspection. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the house inspection. Hope everything's just as it should be. I wondered why I'd never heard of iron butterfly and then remembered that '68 was the year I spent in Bolivia. I'm a little jealous of your moving. I'm ready to downsize and move.
ReplyDeleteHello Terri,
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to come here and read the answers to your questions for Hodge Podge today. I understand you ASAP...and I'm just sorting through things...definitely not packing to move. :)
Have a great day...praying all goes well with the house inspection today. Enjoy going through the house again.
I agree with you, Terri...Waze is a great app! My oldest daughter uses it every time she comes here for a visit to avoid the traffic in Atlanta. Hoping all goes well with your inspection!
ReplyDeleteYep I remember and love In a Godda da Vida.
ReplyDeleteI never heard of Waze. I will have to check it out.
Hope your inspection goes well.
Have a great day!
Hope the house inspection goes well. I had to laugh about the hearing issue. My hubby is doing well with his hearing aids but there are still times when I'm asking him if he's got his ears on! lol
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to be moving into a new home! Best of luck on the inspection!
ReplyDeleteI'm so behind in knowing what is going on in the blogosphere. You've bought a house? Yay! Congratulations! I hope the inspection and all the rest go smoothly. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI haven't taken that quiz yet...but I choose the Owl as well...anyways, good luck on the inspection, looking forward to hearing all about your adventure (Smiles).
ReplyDeleteI just read Winnie the Pooh last year Terrie. And it is very sweet and adults get a whole different take on it than the kiddos. I would be like you...I want to look at my house again and plan out my furniture etc. Hope you got a good report. So excited for you!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers - I really should join hodgepodge again. I get your wanting to go in the house again. I remember when we were buying this one, I found every excuse I could to go in, look, plan and dream.
ReplyDeleteI remember that song and liked it, too for dancing. We would go to the "Youth Canteens" given by the Lutheran Church some Saturday nights.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you get to visit the house again and praying the inspection is good. Plus, you get to visualize a bit more where furniture will be placed. It builds the excitement!
I had to chuckle at your ASAP!!! ;-) That goes along with my "WAIT" word for today. Hope the inspection goes well...I know it will!
ReplyDeleteHi Terri, In A Godda Da Vita...wow that takes me back...haven't thought about that tune in a long time. Thanks for including the video. I've never tried Waze, I needed it when I was in Florida last week. I was on I-4 outside of Daytona in a massive traffic jam due to a horrific accident many miles ahead of me. I was on the way to the Airport and stressing about missing my flight. An alternate route would have calmed my nerves. Sending good juju for a positive outcome to your house inspection.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

Oh what fun to be going through your new home. I'm so happy for you. I would have to attend with Jay too because both of us have hearing problems so four ears are better than two. I have no recollection of that song! I didn't have any idea which character from Winnie the Pooh would be my match, but I was hoping it wouldn't be Eeyore.
ReplyDeleteHello Terri,
ReplyDeleteSorry it's been a while since I visited. My eye problems have been limiting my computer time.
I hope all went well with your home inspection, today. How exciting for you :)
Sorting and packing...Ugh! How I remember that from our last move 9 years ago.
Your nostalgic song choice brings back 'teen memories' to me, as well. That was a l-o-n-g song :)
Kathy (Reflections)
Your ASAP is funny Terri but remember, slow and steady wins the race! You'll get there my friend! xo
ReplyDeleteThe British Invasion ... yes! (I was a huge fan of George Harrison.) Crazy, but I don't recall that Iron Butterfly song at all!
ReplyDeleteI like your answer to #2. It all depends on one's immediate circumstance, right??!
Praying the inspection went smoothly!
Would you believe I have never danced under strobe lights? That must have been FUN!
ReplyDeleteHope the inspection went well. I would have wanted to be there too! I like your ASAP - it does seem like that's how it goes sometimes.
ReplyDelete"Waze" is another very useful App that SWMBO and I use. "As Slow As Possible" works for me. Life is often in too much of a hurry to pass by. Thanks for your visit and comments.
