Thursday Things....

Maybe I should say Thursday Thing. Work is busy again with quarterly reports due, and I am trying to get cleaning done and the guest room ready for the kids this weekend. It's all good, but I only have one thing for this Thursday's blog.



I'm sure you have all heard of birth order psychology.  I've read The Birth Order book and found it quite interesting.  There really is something about it.  On Facebook yesterday, I found this graphic and it made me think about it all over again.  I'm the oldest of four kids.  My brother died 11 years ago, so it is just my two sisters and me now.  With only a couple of exceptions, this list is very true for the three of us.

What are your thoughts and how do you relate to this?

    I never thought of myself as a middle child as I wasn't raised with my 2 older siblings. I only see a few traits on oldest and middle that fit so I guess I am a combo.

    I am the first born and that fits me to a "T", my son is the only child we have and that also fits him to a "T". Interesting, thanks Terri. Have a beautiful day friend.

    I have always thought this was very true. It's interesting when you add marriage into the mix - should an oldest marry an oldest?

      I married a middle and it has worked for 30 years. I need someone to make me laugh at myself and not be so serious.

    Gee! I hope I'm not a bossy know-it-all, although everything else fits! My baby brother isn't self-centered and he probably is a mix of the older and the only child. All good of course.

      I'm sure you are not, but I confess that I work hard to not be 'bossy'. Maturity has taught me that I don't know it all, but I'm sure I come across that way at times. I'm a poster child for the first born.

    I'm an oldest, and I must admit to being a bit bossy! In my family that first born fits pretty well. My siblings don't quite fit the middle and youngest though.

    I think it fits my 3 kids quite well. I have a daughter and then two sons. My own family is reversed - I have two older brothers. It doesn't fit us so well but I thinks that's probably because my own children are very close in age (less than 4 years between eldest and youngest) whereas my brothers are 7 and 12 years older than me. Having said that the only child profile is probably nearer to me than last.
