Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 241
Here are the questions for this week's Wednesday Hodgepodge. Answer on your own blog, then hop back here tomorrow to share answers with the universe. See you there!
1. Are you comfortable with silence? Yes and sometimes I crave it. If you're home alone, do you like silence or do you need regular background noise? It just depends on the time of day and my mood. Do you seek out times and places to be silent? No, not really. What's your favorite place to find silence/be silent? In the kitchen, early morning before heading out to work.
2. October 28th is National Chocolate Day. Can't let that go by without a mention now, can we? Will you celebrate? No. How? Let's say you can have one of the following right this very minute... a cup of hot chocolate, a strawberry dipped in chocolate, a bowl of plain chocolate ice cream, or a slice of chocolate pie...what's your pleasure? Plain chocolate ice cream, thank you very much.
3. How do you feel about blue jeans? Love them. Favorite thing in the world to wear or nope, don't own a single pair? Favorite thing to wear, definitely. How often do you wear blue jeans in a typical week? All weekend, except I don't wear jeans to church. We can wear them to work and I do on occasion. Do you own a blue jean jacket? I don't, but Joe does. I really want one.
4. Are you superstitious? Not even a little. If so, in what way?
5. If you had to come up with a costume using only things you have on hand right now, what could you come up with? I could be a hippy. I have jeans, sandals and a t-shirt with peace signs (thanks for the gift, Teena - still have it and love it!).
6. What scares you a little? Public speaking scares me a lot. What do you do when you feel scared? Pray, talk to myself....
7. Perhaps today will be the day I stick to my diet this week. I've been very, very bad.
8. Insert your own random thought here. I start another round of injections in my knees tomorrow. Once a week for three weeks. It really helped me this last time so I'm hoping it continues to help. I can get the injections every six months. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for your visit today! Peace & hugs!!
Keeping you in prayer, Terri. As always, enjoyed your answers. Blessings
ReplyDeleteMy kitchen is my silent place too. On most days! The back patio would be second due to weather conditions. I didn't participate this week but enjoyed reading your answers. I agree with you on the superstitious - I'm not either. Have a wonderful Wedneday.
ReplyDeleteJeans have to be the most comfortable article of clothing out there unless they're skinny jeans, but I wouldn't even think of putting on a pair of those. It would be hot chocolate for me, especially a nice thick Spanish hot chocolate with churros. Hope and pray that the injections help and have a good day with or without chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI'm a blue jean girl, too! Prayers for the injections! Ouch. Praying they help.
ReplyDeleteJeans all the time too. Ouch on your injections. I hope they help your knees.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I'm with you on the early morning silence in the kitchen. One needs to start out quiet so we can remember WHO is in charge and ask His help for the day ahead. I hope the knee injections help!
ReplyDeletePraying the injections work for you again and give you the relief you need. Jeans, hot chocolate, scared of heights, all for me!
ReplyDeleteJust thinking of someone injecting something into my knee made me cringe. I love that you have a shirt with a peace sign on it!
ReplyDeletePublic speaking scares me too. However, I have to say it surprises me just a little that you also don't like it. I would have thought you just the opposite. The Hodgepodge questions help us know a little more about each other.
ReplyDeleteI hope the injections work for you. God bless.
Oh Terri, the ordeal with your knees! I'm so sorry, but am glad to hear that the injections gave you a bit of relief. Hopefully, that will continue. If someone called me and said I had to speak in front of a group, it would immediately make my fight/flight response kick into high gear! Your blog is so cute with the Halloween background. :-)
ReplyDeleteTerri, I hope the injections continue to help your knees. I crave silence too! <3
ReplyDeleteToday is NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY? I am so excited. lol Have you ever gone to the Cheesecake Factory and order the Hot Fudge Sundae? Oh my gosh! (See what I got out of this post - lol)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet and encouraging comment you left on my blog today. Wow, five stents is a lot! I'm glad Joe is doing well,
ReplyDeleteI hope your knee injections bring you speedy and long lasting relief.
Yay for National Chocolate Day - I need to find some!
ReplyDeleteI am scared of public speaking too. My hubby does it well, I prefer to be in the audience!
I find that when I'm scared, I try very hard to keep counting my blessings to shove out the thing that is scaring me. I say that I try....I'm not always successful, but I keep trying. The last time I was successful was during my last MRI in a very small machine for 45 minutes. I was surprised that I had more blessings than that 45 minutes took up.
ReplyDeleteOur Youth & Family Minister brought the "Trunk or Treat" thing with him from the South. He went to college in Arkansas. The Gospel meeting was really excellent. I hope the injections work on your knee's. I too suffer from chronic knee pain but not so severe that I'd consider surgery.
ReplyDeleteYes public speaking isn't easy. Hope you get relief for your knees and I'm with you on #7.
ReplyDeleteWe've been eating out so much which makes sticking to my eating rules a little more challenging. Good luck with getting back on track. I do hope the injections bring you some relief!
ReplyDeleteWe are of the same mind on costumes...find whatever is in our closet and make it work! LOL I totally forgot about public speaking! I can speak in front of my students, but can't in front of peers. Gives me the shivers! Good luck with your knees!
