Monday Mishmash (weekend rundown)...




We had a great weekend with our son Joey and daughter-in-law Darlene!
We went out for Vietnamese food Friday night.  We went to The Rib House Saturday evening, and Sunday morning, we went over to St. Pete Beach for the delicious brunch at Jackie's on Corey.  We were surprised to find a three-block long Farmers' Market set up right in front of the restaurant.

I did make pumpkin bread that we snacked on all weekend. I made two more loaves last night so they could take one with them. I also made a crockpot full of vegetable soup and we all enjoyed it in between our meals out and about.  Darlene is vegetarian/vegan and Joey is most of the time. Going out gives us all options to enjoy.

Of course, Brooke and Zoe came with them.  We sure enjoyed getting our puppy fix! They are so cute and play together so well.  Our cats will be happy to have "their" house back though. We get their company for one more night.

    I've always wondered about people who are vegetarians if their animals are also vegetarian. Glad everyone has had a good time. Your vegetable soup and pumpkin bread sound delicious.

      Darlene actually has them on a raw meat diet but uses dehydrated meat to which she adds water. They get it twice a day. The dogs LOVE lettuce and get a lettuce leaf as a treat. It's crazy to watch them gobble lettuce.
