Cheerleader
Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Saturday 9: Cheerleader (2014)
Saturday 9: Cheerleader (2014)
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
1) Homecoming and football make this an important time of year for cheerleaders. Were you a cheerleader, or did you date one? No. I was in the band and we didn't have male cheerleaders, so no dates either.
2) Beyond cheerleaders and the big game, homecoming is a time for parades. Have you ever ridden on a float? No.
3) OMI sings that his girl is always there when he needs her. Who do you know you can always count on? My husband, Joe, of course!

4) This video features a sandy beach, a rocky shore and palm trees. What do you see outside your window right now? Because I'm doing this on my lunch hour, Friday, I see a parking lot, cars and palm trees.
5) In the lyrics, we hear that his cheerleader girlfriend is "like a genie in a bottle." Who would rather hang around with? Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie or Samantha from Bewitched? I always enjoyed both of those shows, but I think I like Samantha best.
6) OMI is from Jamaica. Have you ever visited that island country? No, but I would like to someday.
8) Queen Elizabeth is Jamaica's head of state. Her Majesty is now 89 years old and a great grandmother. Who is the oldest person in your life? My step-grandmother is 96 years young.
9) Her Majesty was named Elizabeth Alexandra Mary after three of her relatives, who also were queens. Were you named after anyone? My middle name, Lee, is after my great-grandmother, Verda Lee. SO glad I got the middle name and not her first name!
Thanks so much for joining us again at Saturday: 9. As always, feel free to come back, see who has participated and comment on their posts. In fact sometimes, if you want to read & comment on everyone's responses, you might want to check back again tomorrow. But it is not a rule. We haven’t any rules here. Join us on next Saturday for another version of Saturday: 9, "Just A Silly Meme on a Saturday!" Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks for your visit today! I am off on adventures with Joe, Joey and Darlene today. We'll see where it takes us and I'll report on our fun in Monday's blog!
Peace & hugs!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day with your family!
ReplyDeleteI know I've mentioned before that I was named after the singer Brenda Lee. Monday is a holiday for us and there will be military parades and rain is predicted too. Hope you're having a good day with family.
