Tuesday Tidbit....
I have mentioned on several blogs that I really miss apple orchards in the Fall. My favorite apple is the Cortland and I can never find them down here in Florida......until last weekend!!
Look what I found at Publix!! This bag is almost gone and I think another one will be on my shopping list before the week is out. They aren't as good as the ones I get right from the orchard, but they are good and this girl is apple-happy!!
Thanks for your visit today! Peace & hugs.

I think that is from our neck of the woods--or close by...anyways---we have apple orchards on campus that line the walkways, the campus is having a apple picking and apple press tomorrow evening. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteHave a Blessed day, Terri, thanks for the smiles.
This is one of the things I loved about growing up on a farm. We had all kinds of fruit trees and in spring and summer wild berries too. Hope your day is a good one.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a Cortland apple fan too. Only kind he enjoys. Every now and then I too can find them here in NC. We use to pick them in NY and what a difference they were. I will have to check out our local Publix to see if they carry them. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteNot sure we have those at the orchards around here. I'm so glad you found them. Did you do the happy dance in Publix?!? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you found them. :)
ReplyDeleteYou sound exactly like my mother in law who lives in Florida. She always says she misses Michigan apples mire than anything.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found your 'apples'....I am picky about what kind I like too!
ReplyDeleteI am a Gala apple fan. But I'm glad you found your favorites!
ReplyDeleteThat is a new on for me. I like Pink Lady, Golden, Gala and Fuji apples. Isn't it wonderful when you find your favorite things in unexpected places?
ReplyDeleteI remember reading a story when I was a child about a family named Apple. They named all their children after different kinds of apples. Finally, when they had so many children, they ran out of apples, they decided to name her ... Ann Apple! Cortland would have been a good one. ;-)
What a fun story!!
DeleteA good apple can be hard to find. I love honeycrisp. I like that name - Yankee Cortland!
ReplyDeleteAh, I loved this time of year. I'd drive Mom and sometimes her sister, Nellie, out to different orchards around Lancaster in search of their old time favorites. Courtlands were Nellie's favorite, too.
